Faber-Castell Converter for Design Fountain Pens (FC148785)

The pen wrote smoothly right out of the box. Right size for my hand. There is no converter provided but it will take any standard international converter such as Schmidt. Attachment of the barrel to the section is a bit loose. Why I do not know but the pen works great.

Sheerness? Really? Amazon wants to know what I think about the sheerness of this item? It's a fountain pen converter, not pantyhose. "This fountain pen converter is so sexy. It turned on my partner so much. I'll definitely buy more." Anyhow, I bought this because I added an Ohto Dude pen to the collection, it didn't have a converter, and none of the spare "international" converters from long-broke cheap Chinese pens would fit. The Faber-Castell converter seems like a true international size, and fits nice and snugly on the Dude. It works. It looks like the converter on my Faber-Castell Loom, so it's legit. I think. tl;dr: Ohto Dude? This works.

I got this for my Faber Castell Essentio. It fits well, nice and secure. The plunger seal is tight, very easy to clean without getting a lot of seepage into the screw chamber. I haven’t had any difficulty getting it to fill to 90-95% as some reviews have mentioned. However, I do cycle my converters multiple times when filling in order to get them as full as possible. I guess a little patience goes a long way. This product is recommended.

This is the perfectly matched converter to go along with a Faber-Castell Hexo fountain pen. This converter allows the user to fill it with any bottled fountain pen ink.

Works as intended and gets the job done for my faber castel loom. It looks really nice in the pen but be aware that this is a standard international converter and an expensive one. On a budget there are many other cheaper options i might have gone with if i had known they would function identically. Also this converter is not easy to disassemble for cleaning. The quality and the screw mechanism is much smother than other converters of this type i own.is really nice. I will still give it 4 stars, just keep some stuff in mind while buying.

It works fine. Does what it's supposed to do. I'm not thrilled with it because it's pricier than other standard international converters. Faber-Castell pens are supposed to be able to take any standard international converter, but, in reality, you get a poor fit with many of them, and only the F-C converters are sure to fit snugly with no danger of coming loose. I love their nibs, but the converter issue is a sore point with me.

Ich wollte meinem Leben ein wenig Extravaganz gönnen und bestellte mir deshalb diesen Tintenkonverter von Faber-Castell. Amazon listet verschiedene Konkurrenzmodelle auf, jedoch unterschieden sie sich alle preislich nicht signifikant von einander, sodass ich letztendlich auf den Konverter der Marke Faber-Castell zurückgriff - also diesen hier. Mir haben deren Stifte bereits gefallen und die Firma hat einen guten Ruf, warum nicht also nicht gleich ein Markenprodukt kaufen? Das Produkt selber ist wertig verbaut. So bestehen die Tintenkammer und der hintere Aufziehteil aus Plastik, welcher hochwertig rüberkommt. Das Mittelstück mit dem Aufziehmechanismus ist aus Metall. Dass das Plastik hochwertig ist, weiß ich aus erster Hand, da ich vom hinteren Stück etwas absägen musste, damit der Konverter in meinen Füller von Harmel passt. Dies habe ich mir allerdings schon gedacht, sodass es keine große Überraschung war, da keine zwei kleine (bzw. eine große) Patrone(n) in meinen Füller passte(n) (sondern nur eine kleine). Das Sägen gestaltete sich mühselig und anstrengend, jedoch risikofrei, da der Aufziehmechanismus sich lediglich im metallenen Mittelstück befindet. Der hintere schwarze Teil stellt somit lediglich eine Art Schutzabschirmung für den Saug- und Pumpkolben dar. Für das eigentliche Funktionsprinzip ist er unwichtig. Tinte aus dem Fass saugen tut das Teil gut. Die Öffnung vom Konverter scheint auch stabil und nur schwer ausleierbar zu sein. Top! Zusammenfassung: Gutes Produkt, passte in meinen speziellen Füller leider nicht rein, konnte aber mit ein wenig handwerklichem Geschick problemlos angepasst werden. PS: Mit einer kleinen Feile und Nagellack habe ich dem abgesägten Ende einen ästhetischeren Look verpassen können.
