Great ball would expensive!
I ordered the replica and this $80 real ball. They are night and day. The replica would be okay for the backyard. It's a little more texturized and slightly more rubbery feel. It's also a tad smaller. We've only played with it a couple times and it already has a spot where the skin of the ball is pulling away. We kept it but for $30 that ball is not great. The real one is far superior, has a more leathery feel, and is the The official size. It's also more than double the price, so if you're playing competitive volleyball, buy this one, however, if your kids are using it in the backyard just go with the replica.

Purchase this you will not regret it
I recently purchased this volleyball, and overall, I’m very satisfied with its quality and performance. Right out of the box, the ball had a clean finish, solid stitching, and a soft but durable synthetic leather cover. It’s comfortable to pass, set, and spike without causing too much sting on the arms or hands, which is especially great during longer practice sessions. In terms of performance, the ball holds its shape well and has consistent bounce and flight. It’s perfectly balanced, so float serves and topspin hits feel predictable and responsive. I’ve used it both for casual games and during training drills, and it performs consistently on both hardwood and sand surfaces. The only minor downside is that it needed a bit of air after the first few uses, but that’s normal for most new balls. Once properly inflated, it’s been holding air pressure reliably.

AVP official vs. replica--get official
I bought the $80 real ball and got the $35 (or whatever) replica ball. It's a world of difference. Just get the real one and pony up the $80...it has smooth synthetic leather, holds up to abuse, and holds its air. The replica is a complete joke--spongy ball with textured round nubs (presumably for better grip like basketball nubs), lighter-feeling, does not hold up to abuse, and does not hold air. I now understand the price difference (Amazon seriously should not have both the replica and real deal in same product listing).

Good alternative if you don’t want to spend $100 on a ball.
Bought the “Real” game ball and the replica to see what the difference is. The replica feels a bit plasticy but for a 1/3 of the price, it is a good ball. Not going to return it, keeping both and see how they break in.

Good ball!
Pretty good for the price! The replica has a slightly different feel than the official ball. But it has good grip and air retention. It’s not super hard either, perfect for beach. The seam quality seems good! The color matched the official ball. I personally think it’s just as good, but a better price for the replica.

Great Quality and Perfect Feel!
This volleyball is fantastic! The material is durable yet soft, making it comfortable to hit without hurting your hands. It has the perfect weight and balance, allowing for accurate passes, serves, and spikes. The grip is just right—not too slick, but not too rough—making it easy to control during gameplay. Whether you're playing indoors or outdoors, it holds up well and maintains its shape even after hours of use. If you're looking for a high-quality volleyball, this one is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

Not really a "Replica"
Just took my replica ball out of the box and the pattern is just stickers that are already peeling off?? I play with the $80 genuine game balls all the time and the replica is like the dollar store version...I was hoping to not have to spend that much. It's overly textured and the outside feels like foam, not synthetic leather. It feels heavier and less floaty like an indoor ball. We'll see what it's like to actually play with, but just looking at it I'm embarrassed to bring it to the court... This ball would be totally fine for someone just looking for a somewhat nice volleyball to pass around but if you're a serious player, just go straight for the $80 ball

Best beach volleyball!
This is a great volleyball for the beach. It's the correct size and weight for beach, and the ball is reasonably resistant to water, heat and abrasive sand. It has a fairly soft touch and maintains inflation well. The pattern makes it easy to see the spin. Honestly the only downside is that it's so popular for beach that everyone seems to have one and it can get mixed up between courts. Write your name on it!
