The exercises are easy to follow with options to increase intensity using progressions ...
Christine Alexander's newest book, "Water Fitness Progressions" is a wealth of knowledge for every aquatic fitness instructor who wants to provide students with variety & challenge in their water workouts. The exercises are easy to follow with options to increase intensity using progressions that include buoyant & drag equipment. There are so many detailed lesson plans for both shallow & deep water workouts that will make planning your classes easy & fun. Christine has "progressed" all the workouts to keep your aqua-cizers working at 60-90% of their maximum to achieve optimal fitness results. Timed intervals are used frequently so I suggest you buy music that is either tabata format or pre-set for 40 or 30 second work cycles.

This book is a must have for anyone teaching water fitness!
This book is a must have for anyone teaching water fitness! Chris has laid out an easy to use book filled with safe and fun exercise plans..It would be very difficult to run out of ideas as this book covers both shallow and deep progressions Also with or without aquatic equipment. Unlike many books of this type, Chris uses illustrations of people in and out of the pool, not stick figures. As a water fitness instructor for the past 10 years, I appreciate all that Chris and this book has to offer.

Almost no photos
Most of the exercises do not have a photo. I wanted the class plans so that was fine. But without photos and descriptions of many of the exercises I did not find this book at all interesting to use.
