Christopher Knight Home Ellyn Fabric Recliner (Set of 2), Deep Red, Dark Brown

These recliners were purchased for an elderly relative. When I bought them I had no idea they were not assembled. No offer for “white glove” delivery which I would have happily paid for. Now we have to find someone to put them together. I was dubious when my relative picked them out because they were so much less expensive than others from reputable stores. Now I know why. I’ll repost a review after they are assembled & tell you if they are comfortable. But first we have to deal with all the loose pieces.

This chair should be off the market. I caught my upper arm in it while trying to sit upright. The back and the sides have a huge gap where your arm, or a child's leg or hand, or a pet's paws or tail, could get caught. It was difficult to pry myself out of it, and it hurt a great deal, although it did not leave a bruise.They are rather chintzy and small too. An average-sized man may not be comfortable in this chair, but I fit in it pretty well as a 5'2" woman.The upholstery is nearly shredded after several months' use because of pets.I don't recommend the chair because of the danger of getting caught in the side when you sit upright from a reclining position, and because it's not durable, and because it's too small for regular use. (Maybe as a side chair for more decoration than anything.)Additionally it was difficult to put together because the holes didn't align, but I finally managed.They look pretty though. The red one has a pleasing burgundy shade.
