I add this to almost every curry dish. Great flavor, nice heat. Colors the curry well, too.

This is one of my favorite spices. It’s hotter than normal chili powder, but the flavor is excellent. I use it to replace chili powder in nearly every recipe now. Good stuff!

I love Laxmi brand of products for their quality. I cannot go wrong with it. This chili powder has the perfect spice level and also gives nice red color to any curries or food one use it for. However, I find it a bit pricey-for a 7 oz pack, the price is $6.

For the record I am reviewing: Laxmi Brand Kashmiri Chili Powder, Authentic Indian Spice, Made Fresh, Made Pure, Product of India (7oz) The packaging on this product is perfect for keeping the powder fresh and dry. Thick sturdy bag with tight zip-lock style closure. The chili powder has an amazing flavor. I have used it in several dishes now and I love it. There are literally tens if not hundreds of different chili powders you can try and this one is one that you should add to your spice rack. There are times when you want to combine different chili powders and this is one that you will find yourself adding to many dishes. Highly recommend!

This is what I used to buy all the time at the Asian and Indian grocery stores where I lived. When I moved to a less eclectic state, I could not find it anywhere. It is the freshest and fullest tasting Kashmiri Chili Powder that I've ever used, and I was SOOOO happy to find it on Amazon. My only worry was that sometimes you get old, stale spices when you order online. This was super fresh and although it comes in a very nice resealable bag, I transferred it into a clamp down mason jar. I use a lot of this and am really happy to be able to get it again.

For years I had been using grocery store cayenne chili powder in many of my favorite Indian dishes which called for "chili powder." However, at the strong recommendation of an Indian chef I follow online, I bought this Kashmiri chili powder. She was right: I find it sends the Indian dishes I make as a Canadian-American over the top into a new zone of excellence!!! Adding this ingredient to my masala dabba box, replacing the cayenne!!! Kashmiri Chilli Powder adds a beautifully distinctive full flavor, not too hot, and imparts a gorgeous shade of red of colouring to whatever dish it's in. I have often bought Laxmi products over the years, and love the predictable good quality of the company's products. I'll be buying this one again, for sure. Thank you!!!

Not a very bright red color or flavor like MDH and Everest have.
