Jagwire Road Pro Complete Brake Cable Kit - Black

Used Jagwire on all of my bikes, recommended getting sharp snips as outtas are really tough

Installed along with Trp Hy/Rd brakes, making for really great stopping power. Especially the rear brake, the housing is great quality. Make sure to measure twice and cut once, and cut them slightly longer than needed to give yourself tweaking room. Avoid installing on internally routed bike frames like I have, it works, but it was a nightmare.

Great cable upgrade , really changed the performance of my mechanical disc brakes. Was considering upgrading the brakes to hydraulic, but after swapping the cables, the performance is so much better and hydraulic upgrade would be unnecessary

Brilliant upgrade from normal brake cables, using this with hybrid hydraulic brake calipers and the stopping power is loads better now, non of that mushy feeling you get with normal cables

I now have these cables on 4 bikes because they work so well. Definitely an upgrade over the original ones - brakes just feel much more smooth and positive when I’ve changed to these. Supplied with plenty of outer even for a full run to a disc brake and all the accessories you need.

Es un kit de cables y fundas de freno para bicicletas de carretera de una marca de calidad contrastada como es Jagwire, concretamente es el modelo Road Pro que es compatible tanto con frenos de Shimano como con los de Sram. El contenido del kit (cables, fundas, etc ...) está fabricado con una calidad elevada y su funcionamiento es bueno; en mi opinión el rendimiento de la frenada mejora de manera notable en comparación con cables y fundas de gama media-baja. El kit contiene: 1 cable de freno delantero de acero inoxidable pulido de 1500 mm, 1 cable de freno trasero de acero inoxidable pulido de 2800 mm, 1 funda para cables de freno reforzada con kevlar de 3000 mm y 13 pequeñas piezas (tapas, terminales, protectores, ...). Los cables incluidos son de acero inoxidable pulido, están preestirados y son lisos, debido a alguna de estas características tienen una menor fricción y su funcionamiento es más suave. Además son robustos ya que los he apretado y soltado del puente de freno en varias ocasiones y no se han dañado. Por su parte, las fundas para los cables están reforzadas con kevlar (son bastante rígidas) y no tienen compresión lo que permite que el rendimiento de la frenada siempre se mantenga a un nivel elevado. Un buen detalle a destacar es que la funda para los cables (de 3000 mm) tiene en cada uno de los extremos una zona más flexible (de color plateado) para facilitar su instalación en la pronunciada curva del manillar de una bici de carretera en la zona comprendida entre la maneta y la potencia. La instalación del kit requiere trabajo pero no es difícil, esto se debe en parte a que sus instrucciones incluyen imágenes lo cual facilita la instalación. El resultado al utilizar los cables y fundas es bueno, el funcionamiento de los frenos mejora, es más suave y preciso y se obtiene un mayor rendimiento que se aprecia claramente en las frenadas más exigentes.

My double piston brakes finally work.

New brake cables and housing made my bike feel fresh and better than before. Feels great with my rim brake bike but might feel even better for mechanical disc brakes. I appreciate the high quality ferrules that came included in the set which isn't usually included in basic brake cable kits. There's a decent amount of the kevlar housing left for bikes with segmented housing, in case if you mess up cutting them too short too.

I was another one of those customers fooled by the universal cable endings' description. It's a real shame I had to buy other brake cables in order to make it work on my bike. Second time I bought those exact same cables, but they are not as good as the ones I got 14 years ago; They have a different understanding than most of us bike repair guys as to what mountain bike and road bike brake cable are. The colour has changed also. In a nutshell, I'm never buying Jagwire stuff ever again unfortunately.
