Miso Master Miso Sweet White Low salt Organic, 16 oz

I rebuy this brand frequently because it's the perfect, light umami flavor for so many of my soups and stir-frys. I love that it comes with a wax paper liner to keep the miso from drying out and in an easily storable container.

Packaging was about to burst, it says it needs to be refrigerated. Figured maybe that was meant for after opening. Smelled really bad compared to other miso I have bought and just didn’t look smooth parts looked dried out. Product might be okay if handled correctly. Threw out, so can’t give opinion on this. It was an expensive lesson, just want to save others from same experience.

Received item on 10/3. Didn’t open until 10/16 and it was black and moldy. Says not eligible for refund. I am wondering why.

It was not white, but a dark brown

This flavor of miso is impossible to get in my local stores, so I was happy when I found this supplier. The flavor is a bit sweeter and milder, which I prefer, than the darker miso soup bases.

This product came smashed and broken open with contents spewed in the box with other items. Its not cheap and since I cannot return it I am disappointed and will never order any of the Miso Master products again.

What more needs to be said? The product looked old when it arrived and smelled/tasted not quite right. As returns of food are not an option - would not recommend.
