Good choice for metro style metal shelving with a label maker
In my utility room, I have 100 or more Hefty plastic bins stored on metro style chrome wire metal shelves. I wanted to label the metal shelves to draw attention to groupings of bins. I used this magnetic strip with my Brother p-Touch label maker using 3/4" black on yellow tape. (If you are unsure of what metro shelving is, consider googling "metro chrome wire shelving".) The strip attaches to the criss-cross of the shelf sides rather than to a solid metal surface. The strip is magnetic enough to hold the strip in place. The strip fits perfectly on the shelf sides. The white vinyl attached to the strip was useless. The glue that attaches the white vinyl to the strip is not strong enough. But that issue was of no concern to me. I just covered the black strip with the 3/4 inch black on yellow label. What is nice about using a role instead of using pre-cut pieces is that the strip can be cut to precisely match the size of each label. The end result looks great and works as anticipated. I have 80+ feet of the strip left over. So I can make labels as needed for years to come.

Good for light duty use.
I'll be using this for measuring fences on woodworking tools and jigs for "relative adjustable" zero reference. Tested good with Starett steel tape L/R rules. I can relocate/reset the tape rule when necessary. Things occasionally get out of calibration. I can recalibrate the rule instead of a curser. Easy replacement if the rule gets beat up, too.

It worked with my own epoxy adhesive, too weak to work in groove.
I would give this 2-stars, except this is the only one that worked for me. Pros: It worked with my own epoxy adhesive (I suggest using epoxy so it will be strong and water-tolerant. HUGE roll, so good value, and you can afford to experiment and make mistakes. Cons: Magnet too weak to work, inserted in frame and door grooves. Adhesive on the back of the magnet, does not hold with moisture.

Works for robot vacuum boundary!
We have an Eufy Edge, but I imagine most vacuums that read boundaries are about the same. Pros: there’s a ton of it, it sticks to non porous surfaces well. Minor but expected con- it won’t stay attached to fabric, other strange surfaces. For the most part I ignored the sticky side and simply zip tied it in place and cut the tails. Attached are the three places I tried first- the chair is zip tied, the ottoman did not stick (again, somewhat expected) so I glued it, and the glass where the regular adhesive worked just fine. The dining room chairs we had to be a little creative, but that’s only because our vacuum is amazing at finding ways to get stuck under them.

Not magnetic enough
I bought this tape to place a motion sensor light under the cabinet. It did not work. The light fell and the tape came loose . I will try again . I just wish I could find a extra magnetic plate like the kind that originally came with the light

Adhesive backing doesn't stick very well, major letdown.
It's a magnetic strip, it does magnet things, why the low review? The adhesive isn't very strong. At all. I applied the magnetic strip to a painted surface that I cleaned beforehand, and the strip fell off. I ended up having to use glue to glue the strip in place. If I'd wanted to use glue, I would have bought a strip that didn't have adhesive backing. If you're going to make and adhesive-backed magnetic strip, make the adhesive stronger!

Perfect for calendars
We bought these magnets to put on the back of our annual school calendars from the PTA. The magnets work so well! Not only are they easy to clip to the desired size, but the double sided tape makes the magnets easy to assemble as well (though your scissors will get a little sticky). They also hold a decent amount of weight, as one magnet on the back of our calendars keeps it hanging on the fridge with no problems. I will definitely be buying these again.
