Amazon Basics Guitar Tuner (FMT-206RC)

The input port seems to accept a line level signal just fine which has made it perfect for tuning my analog synths. Works equally well plugging in a passive electric guitar. The clip-on sensor readings also match my Snark headstock tuner readings. The cents increments are easier to read than most tuners, which is handy for precise detuning of multiple oscillators on a synth. Overall, I'm satisfied with the quality and value.

This tuner (color version) is quite excellent. It’s very accurate and comes with a clip on attachment that plugs right into the 1/4” jack on the side. It does have a built-in microphone as expected and it works quite well also. The metronome and tone generator work well too; gets loud enough for me. I’ve had many tuners, mostly cheaper clip on ones, a couple expensive Boss tuners and ones on my smartphone. This one does a better job than all of them!

My only disappointment with this tuner is the input. It works fine with the jack/microphone provided, but I had hoped I could plug it directly into my guitar. For some reason it does not work anywhere as well as a direct input than the microphone. It dies the job, is easy to read, and fairly sensitive. For the price, who can complain?

This tuner/metronome device is great. I have not used the metronome feature yet, but the instructions are clear, and it is super easy to navigate the options on the tuner. I love that it lights up so that I can see the screen clearly. The tuning needle on the screen also shows obviously when the string is tuned. It also has a built in stand in the back to facilitate use. Highly recommend!

I bought this for my 12yo daughter, who is in her first year of band. It is great! Very easy to use and very helpful. I wish this existed when I played years ago

I have used this for awhile now. I am very disappointed it only will pick up on standard tunings. It works tuning my Bass Guitar, regular Guitar, Violin and Ukulele in standard tunings. But I typically tune my Acoustic guitar to D Standard (D, G. C, F, A, D) and this tuner cannot pick up on the tuning or do the tuning even when I change the frequency lower to match the string vibration. Comparing it to my TC Electronics Pedal tuner, this thing is off by 1/4 of a step using the vibration clip. The Metronome in it works fine with different time signatures. But it is hard to screw up a metronome. I would suggest this for a starting musician who is starting out in standard tuning of (E, A, D, G, B, E) or with standard tuning of a Ukulele (G, C, E, A) but other than that, this tuner let me down.

The tuner I got is great. [I see this may be another 2020 review] but my old tuner has a back light issue. The back light screen on this is great. The thing should last. They are good as far as I can see on my order all around, and delivery is fast. Just like all your music-related stuff, you should show yourself respect and take care of you and your's.
