Really like this lighter
Its no where as dependable as a zippo. (wind protection wise) but i will say i like this lighter very much. It holds fuel very well with minimal leakage (evaporation) Has a good weight. Sturdy. All in all, its a pretty great lighter. Again.. while i'd take a zippo in the woods over this guy any day. Its a bit unique and works very well. Use it regularly. Be cautious not to over fill, as it will literally shoot globs of fire all over when you push the button to pop the lid and and spark the wick. Just a fair warning :)

Fantastic lighter. Happy to add it to my collection.
This lighter is GREAT! Operates flawlessly and isn't too bulky or heavy. I'd definitely recommend it for any lighter user or enthusiasts. Works great in windy conditions and never fails it provide a flame. Works with regular lighter fluid & for that I am happy. Don't hesitate, it'd make a great gift for anyone who needs a light. Safety issue, but nice lighter.
I would consider this lighter relatively unsafe out of the box, because the release mechanism on the spring-latch is very sensitive. You wouldn't want this near other objects that could bump against it, as it will easily unlatch and lightโPutting personal effects, if not yourself, at risk. That means itโs unsafe for purses or pant pockets. That said, itโs a manageable issue if, for whatever reason, you decide the lighter is a keeper. You wrap it with a rubber band or, as I did, fashion yourself a retainer strap made of something like nylon or leather. I personally made a retainer strap from a piece of leather and epoxy (both sold at a local hobby store). Essentially you cut a strap to overlap itself and then wrap the lighter and glue it in place with epoxy, using something like a spring clamp to hold it in place while the adhesive cures. Be mindful that no adhesive runs over onto the lighter itself while it's drying in place. IMHO this lighter should come with warnings to address those specific issues mentioned, but as of Dec 2023 it does not. It should also come with some sort of sheath --as I was able to make--to ensure it won't spring open and light. There are enough reviews to cover the lighterโs pros, as far as aesthetics and material quality are concerned, so I will only go so far as to say it's a relatively attractive lighter for the price and it consistently lights when it springs open. Aside from the safety issue (that could easily be resolved) I'm rather satisfied with the quality of the lighter.

Looks in feels great did light my hand on fire so I really think about the purchase
Looks in feels great did light my hand on fire so I really think about that When buying this item right after filling it I let it sit for a few upside right and then struck it in the kerosene Spread all over my hand lighting that on fire But it does look and feel pretty good and Obviously Makes Fire

Best lighter i have ever owned.
Don't write reviews much. I am this time. I use this as a home lighter for my cigarettes. Since I have bought this lighter I have only filled it up once and it is still lights up every time for around a month now. I smoke around a pack a day. My zippy lasts around 5 days between fillings. This is a incredible lighter and worth every penny. I am getting nothing for my review but I want others to know that this is a great buy.

Great Lighter - Until You Burn a Hole in Your Pocket...
well the title says it all... i loved this lighter. a lot. until one day i was having a conversation with a buddy of mine while cooking dinner, when suddenly the smell of melting plastic filled the air, and i felt a warm sensation above my right thigh. it was then when i realized there's no safety on this lighter, so when you accidentally open it in your pocket, you'll ruin your jogging pants, and burn your leg.

So Disappointed!
I originally thought this lighter was awesome! However, now that the 2nd one I purchased crapped out...! I feel obviously, these are not such great quality! I Love the Look, the ease at which it lights, and the price!! However, they only hold up a couple or few months at best! Am very, very, Disappointed!!!!!

Like it more than my zippo ....
I love this lighter but it has a flaw and sadly that flaw caused me to render the lighter unsuable for right now . Back story ... So when I first got the lighter it struggled to light I had to click the button 5-6 times to get it to finally light . I got frustrated because everything seemed operational and in good shape I plenty of spark plenty of fluid the cotton was good wick was good so why the heck won't it light ? Well one day I'm at a lighter shop where they primarily sell zippo lighters ( I'm a mild collector " I'm just browsing and the store owner sparks up a Convo as they do and we get to talking about vintage lighters blah blah well I pull this lighter out and show the guy . He recognized it and said he's those are good replicas they light great I just don't like the brass finish you should polish it . I said that's thing it doesn't light great . He says let me look so he takes it and sparks it 5,6,7,8 times says hmm I got this and pulls out some tweazers from behind the counter and pulls the wick up a bit further from the factory length . He sparks it again . Bam first time ! I'm excited again bam first click . Hands it back there you go my friend just needed a wick adjustment . God ! Why didn't I try that I know better ! Any way for several months this lighter was my everyday carry until one day it stopped producing spark . Ok no problem just needs a new flint that's normal . So I go home grab my zippo flints and try to drop one in .... Doesn't fit hmm that's strange ok try another and another none fit . Ok let me grab my bag of cheap Chinese replacement flints surely these will fit right ? Wrong none fit . So ok no problem good excuse to go back to the lighter shop . I wanna browse and pick up some supplies for the zippos anyway . Go to the owner hey zippo flints won't fit in my replica . Hmm really they should ... Ikr but they don't . Let me take a look . Hmm strange they don't fit do they ok let's try these ... And these ... And these ... And these . Hmm something is wrong . The owner takes out a small file he uses for repairs and files a zippo flint and gets it to fit in the tube about a 1/4" then it stops strange it won't go any further . Long story short the flint tube isn't straight at all and the diameter isn't correct nor the same down the length of the tube . Frustrated I went home with the filed flint and filed it a bit more on my own in my frustration and impatients I jammed the flint down the tube using a skinny nail so now it's impossible to get back out and the spring isn't capable of applying enough pressure to the sticker wheel . I will try to drill out the flint with a small drill bit at some point but . But I doubt I can fix the tube issue due to the treads etc. I really love this lighter and I haven't seen anyone else with this issue so I'm thinking it's a fluke but dang am I frustrated . I guess I'll just have to buy a new one but that's not the point .

Wick fell off - impossible to put back (Read Edit)
So as soon as it arrived I was excited to use it. One click the wick burned and it came off. Then I spent an hour figuring out how to replace a wick. Tried both methods of fitting through the chimney and taking out the bottom, cotton, etc and tweezing it up from there. But the top circular neck is so thin that it makes it impossible for the wick to be replaced. I donโt know if itโs flawed by design or what. But extremely disappointed. Edit: Was able to put the wick back but doesnโt light up now. Edit 2: I was determined. Went to 7/11 to get lighter fluid for a last attempt. Used the fluid. Didnโt think it would have any affect since I just bought the lighter and shouldnโt have to fuel it up. But then now itโs a BEAST ๐ฅ. Works perfect.
