Bosch Professional 18V System BITURBO Cordless Circular Saw GKS 18V-68 C (incl. 1x ProCORE 5.5Ah Battery, Charger GAL 1880 CV, 1x Saw Blade, Parallel Guide, Inlay, L-BOXX)

Coming from a 240v 190mm Makita this has been great. Quieter, blade break after cutting, handles are more ergonomic, slightly lighter, and great position for the depth adjustment on the left side of the body of the saw. One downside i found is that the blade guard catches a bit as you start cutting giving you a bit of resistance, but not too bad. Also doesn't have a lever on the body side of the saw for pre-opening the blade guard like some Mafel and new 40v Makita saws do now. Otherwise great.

Firstly Amazon seem to be selling products as new when they are not. I received the package with the seal broken and the box beaten up. Saw had signs of use. This is false advertisement. I’ve wasted money and time.The saw itself is a real shame. The saw is in general well built with good materials and great power BUT fails in the fundamental design of a circular saw.- height adjustment will not lock between 45 to 70mm. The lever is too loose and does not properly tighten resulting in the machine slamming down onto the baseplate.- angle adjustment does not set back at 0/ 90 degrees. The baseplate is flexible and wobbly so it’s set below resulting in cuts that are not 90 degrees.Battery port is poorly assembled resulting in battery becoming stuck or not even going in properly.I can understand why the previous user returned it but then Amazon being sneaky sells it to me saying it’s new.All in all just a waste.- Follow Up -I manage to resolve the issues I was having previously.Height adjustment can be tightened by pulling out the lever which loosens the bolt for you to tighten. It seems to have come loose from the factory or from the previous customer.Angle adjustment was resolved by a small grub screw in the rear of the baseplate. It’s a good idea but there should be two, one at the front and back.And the battery port had a spring out of place. Again, either from the factory or from the previous customer who returned it.If this saw had been new as Amazon claims it was most likely none of these issues would have arisen.But I got a used machine where the previous customer probably messed around with it.Now that issues have been resolved the machine runs very well. Plenty of power and run time. And despite its large size, the ergo ice and blade visibility are excellent.The dust extraction port is just perfect. No more dust in my face!
