I bought a generic/after market filter at my local hardware store that claimed to fit my mower but when I got home it didn’t fit. Since my local hardware store doesn’t carry brand name parts for my mower, and what they don’t have doesn’t fit my mower, the easiest solution is just to buy the correct one off Amazon. Since it’s a real Briggs & Stratton part I won’t have to worry that it’s not going to fit when it arrives.
