Review: SO many good recipes! - I got this book on its release day and have cooked enough recipes now for me to give it a thorough review. Some things I love about this book: 1. All the information and suggested substitutions at the beginning. I saw another review here where the reviewer complained that the recipes were very high in sodium. They actually aren't, but in case you want to lower the sodium even more you can follow Jeffrey's suggestions for doing so. 2. A complete table of contents AND an index. So many cookbooks do not have both. They may have a table of contents that says "Chapter One: Poultry" or "Soup" or whatever. I do not find that helpful. But this book lists out all the recipes in that section, AND gives nutritional information about whether it's gluten or dairy free, or vegan, etc. 3. The photos of each step of every recipe. Personally things always make more sense when I can *see* them. The recipes that I've tried so far: 1. White Chicken Chili, p. 62. SO GOOD! The only change I made was to use only one poblano pepper because we don't like things spicy. I could taste the spice with only one pepper but it wasn't overwhelming. I served it with some dollops of sour cream on top. 2. Dijon Dill Chicken, p. 156. Per Jeffrey's suggestion I served it with the Carrot and Shallot "Fried" Rice. For the chicken I used boneless skinless thighs and left them whole. I also did not use ghee because my store didn't have any and I have no butter to make it. Next time. :) This is a very easy recipe...few ingredients and few steps. My Dijon-loving husband thought it was excellent. I was VERY glad that I doubled the recipe because we ate it as leftovers the next night, and then I may or may not have had the last piece of chicken with sauce for breakfast the day after the leftover day. 3. Carrot and Shallot "Fried" Rice, p. 118. An excellent way to dress up ordinary rice, and it adds some extra nutrients too. I doubled this recipe also but should have tripled it. I also used more carrots than indicated in the recipe because I had them in the refrigerator and we like carrots. 4. Chana Saag (Spinach Chickpea Curry), p. 230. SO good, and what a smell when you release the pressure! It's the cinnamon and garam masala that give it the delicious aroma. I served this on plain white rice. I also added extra spinach for the same reason I added extra carrots to #3 above... why not? And, although I had intended to use dried chick peas I was happy to see the "Jeff's tip" on this recipe: "Didn't remember to soak the chickpeas ahead of time? No sweat....use canned..." It turned out great! 5. Banana Bread, p. 256. A fabulous gluten free banana bread! SO good. I bought a big bag of almond flour from Costco so now I have a reason to make more of this bread... I mean, I can't let the flour go to waste, right? I made it as-is the first time, then the second time I added some chocolate chips. Yum both ways! Also, I did NOT follow the "Jeff's tip" to let it cool before eating, at least not for the first slice. It smelled so good we had to try it right away. I have several more recipes marked for next week, and I'll be cooking even more of these in the future. I would highly recommend that if you want a good Instant Pot cookbook you buy this one (and his first one too). Review: Best Cookbooks Ever! - I got my first instant pot pro for Christmas and found myself looking for any and all recipes that I could try for it. I stumbled across Jeffrey Eisner's pressure luck website and discovered he had recipe books as well. His recipes are actual recipes you will want to cook and there is something for everyone. I bought all 3 of his books as a result (even pre-ordered his latest) and I am so glad that I did. These recipe books are so easy to follow, have excellent, full color photos and lots of helpful tips along the way. He leaves no guesswork as far as the cook time, pressure type, release functions etc. Which, as a new pressure cooker owner, I was thrilled by. And to top everything off, the recipes are DELICIOUS. I am usually one to modify and tweak recipes as I go because i am not afraid of flavor, but after my 2nd meal that I made from this book, I started following them to the letter and they are so good as written! To say that I highly recommend this book, and any of Jeffrey Eisner's books, would be a massive understatement. If you have an instant pot- this is for you!

not for us
“” i would not consider the majority of the recipes in this cookbook, nor his other two cookbooks, simple, easiest nor being lighter recipes.. They look good but, to me these are full blown recipes for folks who are more on the gourmet side of eating and that enjoy cooking chores such as long prep times. Also just too many ingredients needed in most of these recipe in all three books. Just too time consuming for weekday meals for me which is kinda bad given we are using an IP to cook with that a lot of us use to make quick meals. Basically this book kind of reminds me of following Hello Fresh recipes and the likes meals, except your making most in IP and you are having to go buy the ingredients in store and hope your local grocery stores even carries some of them in your area!! also very little desert recipes in all three books but, they are my favorites out of the book, especially that jar one and the easy brulee one.. if you love to be in the kitchen prepping and cooking, like eating more gourmet type of meals and lots of pasta & rice dishes, you may indeed love these books. which are made pretty well overall, nice thick what seems to be laminated covers. I will more than likely pass these on to a family or friend for they are just not for me, the rootitoot recipes cookbooks that are more meat and potatoes kinda of recipes are more my style.””

A joy to cook with!
As with his first cookbook, The Step-By-Step Instant Pot Cookbook, Jeffery Eisner has created another stunning addition to my library of culinary resources. The Lighter Step-By-Step Instsnt Pot Cookbook has only been in my hands for 24 hours but I have already made two meals from it and know that it complements my passion for creative and healthier eatting with my love of the electric pressure cooker, one of my favorite kitchen multi-taskers. From the ground up, these cookbooks are both game-changers in the industry. Anybody can give you a great beauty shot but here we get step-by-step as well. The real truth about the time you're going to invest in a meal is clearly written out, allowing you to pre-prep know when to start your meal. We've been gifted with clear information about nutritional data as well as alternative dietary options and labels for keto, paleo, gluten and dairy free as well as vegan. I've read some posts and reviews where folks complain about the plethora of ingredients and things they don't have. That's what I LOVE about these recipes! They're inspiring. There's no shying away from herbs and spices, we're encouraged to reach out of our ho hum comfort zones and given fabulous places to start new food journeys from. Were offered tips and tricks as well as substitution suggestions for making a dish that can cater to many diets and food lifestyles. Food and cooking is about exploration, comfort, joy and nutrition. This cookbook brings all those things together in a colorful, easy to follow package. Yes, it's a paperback. It can be a little hard to keep ooen if you dont have a bookstand, binder clips or other prop handy. So do what millions of Jeffrey's followers have done and take yoyr copy to a local print ship and have it sprial or comb bound. You'll like it so much, you may find yourself having more of your favorite cookbooks converted. I love my Instant Pots and Jeffery Eisner's Lighter Step-By-Step Instant Pot Cookbook. I think you will too.

This recipe book turns your instapot into a game changer for making meals.
Love love love Jeffreys instapot cookbooks. This second cookbook is just as awesome as the first one. So many various recipes to use and alternate from. I like that he uses the same ingredients throughout the book for various recipes so I don’t have to buy The Whole store to cook nutritional food. He included a basic list for shopping which is the absolute best shopping strategy for me. I also like how he recommends options and encourages you to switch ingredients based on your preferences or food intolerances. This book has various options for specific food preferences which gives more people opportunities to use the recipe book. The pictures and directions are so easy to follow. I have both of Jeffreys cookbooks for the instapot and honestly can’t choose which is the best. I just made his Black and Blue soup and beef and broccoli which turned out to be so yummy. I bought an instapot about three years ago and never used it until I purchased Jeffs cookbooks. I purchased the air frying lid to use with the instapot after reading this cookbook and seeing how easy it is to use. It will be great to use in the heat of summer instead of the oven. This cookbook turned my instapot into a dynamic time saving, great tasting food making product.

Instapot Cookbook EXPLAINS EVERYTHING
Just buy this book. Like many people I was super excited to get the instapot and then stared at it like it was the space shuttle sitting on my counter. ….so many buttons and the tales of long ago pressure cooking mishaps made it daunting. I stumbled upon a recipe from this author and decided that I’d give it a try. Changed everything. Not only are the recipes delicious but the instructions are written so clearly it teaches you to actually cook with this device. My instapot is now in use DAILY because of this book. I love the book and the IP. The sausage and shells recipe is AMAZING. I hated all other IP cookbooks because they explained nothing. A young kid with no cooking skills could use this! I do cook and have cooked for decades and this showed me how to alter my methods. The food is company worthy with nearly no effort. Amazing. Just amazing. Thank you Jeffrey!!! LIFE CHANGING! Dinner is delicious and ready in a flash!!!

What's not to love?
Jeffrey Eisner did it again!! Once again he brings us delicious recipes just on the lighter side. I'm truly impressed with the overall layout of the book. Everything is separated into sections from Basics all the way to desserts. Along with that there icons for each recipe to identify things like Keto, Paleo, Dairy-Free and more. Plus there's a key to identify each of the icons. Jeffrey shares pro tips and even shares how to use the Instant Pot. So if you're an IP newbie this is a great book to start with. Each recipe is complete with step-by-step color photos and instructions along with "Jeff's Tips". This book has something for everyone and covers a wide variety of dishes. This cookbook is not for quick weightloss and it's not meant to be a diet. However, it's a healthier lifestyle meant to help us eat delicious foods we love while feeling good about it.

AMAZING BOOK!!
OMG, where were these books when I got my pressure cookers! These are magic books that transforms a few simple ingredients into the best home cooked food ever. It's all about taste and trust me, these recipes are packed with flavor. If you don't have an ingredient Jeffrey tells you in the book and in his video's on youtube what you can do, replace it with, or simply leave it out. The tutorials are spot on, exactly as he explains and shows you how to make the meal, is exactly how it will turn out for you too. I got rid of my cooktop pressure cooker, too much monitoring and checking and way too much guess work, I invested in Instant Pot's. I now have all the sizes and some doubles of the 8lt and now added the Instant Pot air fryer combined pressure cooker too. I use ALL of them, I can make simple foods to take to parties or dinners with friends and family with these recipes, I became a Chef. Thanks Jeffrey for all your hard work on these books. Lots of smiles from everyone when I take these meals along with me, not a single complaint. Just Perfection!

Riporta ricette molto "straniere"

Another great book for Instant pot
This is the third in my collection of books from Jeffrey about how to cook in the instant pot and I’m very happy this version explains you how to cook, lighter switching ingredients and exchanging less for more flavor and delicious food. Just because it’s a lighter version doesn’t mean that the taste will be compromised at all and Jeffrey assure as that from the very beginning of this book and he’s right I did the lemon spinach pasta and it’s super tasty. Also ideas from this book you can apply in his other books to make the recipes little lighter I love that it all combines perfectly, and I can use my instant pot and so many ways with so amazing recipes that I just can’t stop trying out everything in this book.
