Do these have adhesive on one side of them?

No. They do have plastic film on both sides that you might want to remove, depending on your application (reduces optical quality but protects the film surface).The plastic film itself is on the polarizing film by static cling (no adhesive).

Please confirm the size whether units are in inches as given or in cms? If in inches the thickness of 0.5" is meaningless. S.Lakshminarayana

The film sheets are exactly 8 cm square. I have no calipers to measure the thickness, but with the protective film removed, and placed end-to-end on a flat surface with a sheet of card stock, the "feel test" indicates they are very close to the same thickness. Hope that helps.
