Heavy duty safety and light enough to carry easily.
Works perfectly to help me reach high times in the kitchen. The placement of the handle to lean on while climbing is a great height. It's also easy to fold up, the hinge works smoothly. Good quality, nice and sturdy, doesn't slip.

Heavy duty, stable and love the hand rails.
This HBTower step ladder is a beast. Easy to put together (hand rails) and very stable. The quality is superb and is built solid. The hand rails I wasn't too sure about, but they work very well. Good for older folks but better for those who just feel unstable on a ladder. I say it is good, not great for elderly as to move the ladder to the spot they want, they may struggle due to the weight. The ladder is heavy, but it is also the reason it is so stable. Like most guys, I have many ladders from lighter weights to heavy duty and this is definitely heavier duty. I got the larger one in order to reach more heights and no regrets, except storing it with the handles on. The handles stick out quite a bit in the small area I store it. I wish there was a way to fold the handles in for storage. This is my only gripe. Ladder is sturdy, heavy duty, though heavy, but feel it is worth every penny when I bought it for a sale price.

Totally great quality through and through!
This step ladder has been great. I gave it a while so that I could use it before reviewing it. It’s held up wonderfully. Very secure without any wiggling at all. The framework is made out of a strong and sturdy metal. The steps, the plastic, are very sturdy and have not cracked or shown any use. The top step sort of snaps into place so that you know the step ladder is locked before you climb it. It folds up very tightly into my coat closet in the hallway, out of the way of guest’s coats, but handy enough to grab whenever I need it. I use it just about daily and would highly recommend it to others.

What a Great Step Ladder.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. ( More for me than him since every time I wanted mine he had it in the basement.) It is a great and very sturdy stool. He has already used it several times. Great made and no wobbles at all. It locks down good and I know longer worry about him using a wobbly ladder. Having the grip bar is the best thing ever since we are both almost 80 years.

Very very durable; would love a deeper step!
I'm a big girl so I had to have a sturdy step ladder. I've tried several and I feel really safe on this set! I wish the step would have been deeper. I don't like having to stand on it sideways a little bit so that it doesn't dig into my shin. I do like however, throwing my leg over the top bar so that I can clamp myself into place. You do not step on this top step, obviously, but I can use it for stability. It stores away very easily. It doesn't weigh much and you can tell it's beefy, anyway! There was no assembly and of course the black color makes it fade away in storage. I definitely have a special spot for it so I know right where it is!

Great, safe ladder to reach higher areas inside and outside
I previously bought this exact ladder from the company, so I was familiar with how to assemble it. Assembly doesn't require two people, but if you're unsure, ask someone to help you. I learned from reading previous reviews on the company site the side rails may cause the ladder to become imbalanced during use. I've opted not to attach those and can still safely climb up and down. Another tip, when using this ladder outside, ensure all four feet are stable before you start climbing. This ladder easily folds up for storage. It's not heavy, but it is a little awkward to carry due to its size.

So far so good. A good and steady ladder with a large base
So far so good. A good and steady ladder with a large base. The shipping package was damaged so at first glance I was a bit trepidatious. But the ladder did not receive the same damage as the ladder. The ladder was in perfect form. it unpacked and appeared to be a perfect ladder and it was. I cannot express how impressed I was with the larger as and sturdiness of that ladder. IF i was to gift one to someone it would be this ladder.

High Performance 3 Step Stool
I bought this HB Tower step stool for about $50, and it has turned out to be one of the most useful pieces of equipment in my Georgetown atelier setup. I do not mean that casually. In a room where wall height matters, where books, records, papers, tools, and shelves are part of a vertical working system, this stool stops being a mere household accessory and becomes a functional part of the architecture. What I needed was not just “a step stool.” I needed a compact, stable, repeat-use ladder for a dense interior where I am constantly reaching upward: installing shelves, adjusting archive materials, moving books, checking the upper wall line, and accessing storage near the ceiling. This does that job extremely well. The first thing worth noting is the stability. The frame feels secure, and the steps have enough surface area to make repeated climbs feel controlled rather than precarious. That matters when you are not simply changing a light bulb once a month, but using the stool as part of an ongoing workflow. In my case, it has been essential for reaching the upper shelf zones of a miniature research-library environment. It gives enough height to work with intention rather than stretching, improvising, or risking bad balance. The second strength is the footprint. In a crowded room, a larger ladder would become oppressive. This one folds into the environment much more easily. It feels compatible with a tight urban room where every square foot has to justify itself. That is a major advantage. It is large enough to be useful, but not so large that it dominates the space when not in use. Third, I appreciate the way it functions aesthetically. It has a plain, black, utilitarian look that fits well in a workshop, archive, studio, or hybrid living-work space. It does not pretend to be decorative, but it also does not look cheap or absurdly overdesigned. In a room that blends books, tools, photographs, shelves, and materials, it looks right. It belongs. The image here captures that clearly: the stool sits inside a real working environment, surrounded by bags, books, containers, and layered storage, and it makes immediate sense. It reads as a practical ladder for a vertical life. That is exactly what I wanted. A few specific positives: • The top platform is broad enough to feel confidence-inspiring. • The steps have good traction, which matters when moving up and down quickly. • The handlebar gives the stool a more controlled feel than lower-profile models. • It works especially well for ceiling-adjacent shelving and upper-wall access in smaller apartments or studio-like rooms. • It is ideal for anyone building a home library, archive rail system, studio storage wall, or workshop shelving setup. What I also like is that this stool encourages a different relationship to the room. Instead of treating upper space as dead space, it makes upper storage genuinely usable. That may sound dramatic, but in a small apartment, vertical access changes the whole logic of organization. Once you can safely and repeatedly reach high shelves, the room opens up. This is not a luxury item. It is a productivity tool. For anyone building out a library wall, archive system, atelier, or dense urban interior, it is money well spent. Bottom line: For around $50, this HB Tower step stool is excellent value. Stable, compact, functional, and well-suited to repeated daily use. In my case, it has become a miniature library ladder for the Georgetown atelier boheme, and it has earned its place completely.
