Thorntons Original Special Toffee Box (525g)

Thorntons Original Toffee has been our favorite for years since we discovered it in a shop at the London Heathrow Airport. Since then, we have purchased it during every trip to the UK and Ireland. The toffee is delicious, but our absolute favorite was the chocolate covered toffee, but we can't seem to find it any longer. We loved the chocolate covered toffee so much that we would place orders for shipment to the US where we live. Recently, I was so excited when I found it on Amazon.ie. Of course, I placed an order and had it shipped to my home in the US.

Good stuff

The wording for this product needs to state that it deteriorates in hot weather. This is normally the best caramel I’ve ever had, but the heat has rendered it inedible, at least for me. I couldn’t be more disappointed and it’s not returnable(food items shouldn’t be). Very disappointed. I hope in the early winter to try again, when the hot weather is gone! But the page for ordering needs a disclaimer about not ordering when temperatures exceed a certain temperature level!

I used to get this brought over by a cousin in Scotland to the US but now he’s older and doesn’t make the trip over so to my surprise I found it here and couldn’t resist buying it it is a fantastic buttery soft toffee that is delicious I will buy it as long as it’s available on Amazon

The product is only good for 3 months , I want newer product like the expiration is longer example it will expire in one year.

Can't wait until it arrives, I loved the toffee 40 yrs ago.---------OK, let me tell you about it's journey. I thought it would come from either Belper, Derbyshire in the UK! Well when it came it came from the SHETLANDS, a small island off Scotland. When it came it was in a ball and I had to use a knife to cut bits off and there was a nibbled bit off the box. It was fully wrapped with cellophane. So I kept it and hoped that there had been no mouse nibbling. I went to school with Penny Thornton who's Father owned Thornton's and gave many candies for our school bazaar, they went really quickly

An absolute firm favourite of my mother and was bought as a small stocking filler. I too adore this rich, creamy, buttery delight. You've got the choice of allowing this to almost melt in the mouth or give your jaw a decent workout. I bought 2 boxes of this and neither suffered the congealed lump issue experienced by others. Would highly recommend this tasty treat
