Satisfied 2nd time around
Seems like a solid, well-designed product. I really like the airtight/watertight seal. The steel cable and/or carrying tether attach in a protected slot outside of the gasket, so it maintains the seal with either one installed. Fits well in the nightstand drawer and under the seat of my vehicle to discourage curious kids and a@@hole thieves, respectively. I took off 1 star because the 1st one arrived without the keys and tether. Possibly a previous return sent back out without inspection, which I don't appreciate. I also bought the pick & pluck foam insert, which I rated 5 stars. Note that using the P&P foam reduces the usable size of the compartment by about half an inch in both directions. It BARELY fits my compact semiauto. Consider the next larger size if that's a potential issue for you. BTW, I'm not using the tape on the P&P foam. That way I can take it out and use the egg-crate foam when storing slightly larger items.

Perfect fit, easy plucking.
Perfect replacement foam for the LifePod. Foam plucks easy. Nice to have another on hand since it’s a two pack.
