Microwave Potato Cooker, Perfect Potatoes in 4 minutes

Two large potatoes, baker sized russets, take 12 minutes in my 1200 watt microwave, so their claims of 4 minutes are pretty unrealistic, but of you can live with that little marketing ploy, the potatoes come out amazing, perfect every time. I wash the poratoes, pop them in the bag and run the micro 6 minutes, then flip the entire thing over, potatoes and all, for the remaining 6 minutes. Easy-Peasy! Gets dinner on the table quick!

I’ve owned one for years! Love this thing! Saves time! No hot oven necessary to bake potatoes! I’ve tossed it in the washing machine and dryer. Holds up fine. I just made sweet potatoes. Here’s a couple of tips..... you are not going to bake a potato in 4 minutes! They don’t recommend you keep it on longer. So the best way is to do 4 minute intervals. Usually three times does it. Feel the potatoes in the bag after each time. Just reach into the microwave and give the potatoes a squeeze to see if they are soft! Then remove, dump the potatoes out and voila! Done! Tip#2 is don’t pierce the potatoes! Especially the sweet potatoes! That makes the juice inside leak out all over the bag. It not necessary. I usually wait a couple of minutes between microwave cycles but even that isn’t necessary. Just don’t try putting it in for 6 or 8 minutes at a time. That’s what the people reviewing this must be doing when they post a photo of “burns” on the bag. Buy this and you never bake potatoes in the oven again. I just got one for a friend, she loves it. I wouldn’t take the time to write this long, I would feel if it wasn’t true. I love i reviews, they help us all shop and buy the right things. I know it’s only a potato bag, but it’s important

I ordered what I thought was a original Potato Express as I have one that works extremely well baking potatoes in the microwave and wanted to have an extra for when I wash/dry the original I have. I was not expecting what I received--a "Veggie Express" which I did not know even existed! It just came today, and now the Amazon listing states the product is not available. I will not be returning it, as it states in the enclosed booklet that it is great for potatoes and other vegetables. It is not as "thick" as the original Potato Express, and of course it is not red, but other reviews of "knock-offs" on Amazon for Potato Express imitations state that the thickness does not seem to matter when baking a potato. I will try it out soon and update this review. I may experiment with other raw vegetables as well and see what results I obtain too. Hopefully the Potato Express will become available again, but I suspect it will not be the same thickness as the original which came out amost a decade ago. NOTE: When the bag says it cooks potatoes in 4 minutes--IT DEPENDS ON THE SIZE OF THE POTATO! I place rather large potatoes inside one at a time and it takes two 4-minute sessions in the microwave, but comes out perfect! Also you do not pierce the potato like you would if it was microwaved without using the Potato Express bag. I have never pierced the potato before cooking in the bag, but I imagine it could get messy real quick and maybe burn the inside of the bag. Never had a potato explode inside the original Potato Express.

Ordered product Dec 2, 2025. While using this week, I noticed a burnt spot on cooker. I spoke with seller to request replacement. I was advised it was outside of the January return window. Although the item was defective and of poor quality, they would not issue replacement. I previously owned same product for over 10 years without incident. I will now be purchasing off-brand product.

Wash well. Very nice to use. It does not take 4 minutes to cook a potatoe. The pouch is not as thick and high quality that my first pouch is. Still is great to use!

This is the 2nd one I've owned (my 2 year old hid the last one and I never found it). It works very well and I've used it frequently for a baked potato for lunch. I've found that I get the best results by using a larger potato (3.5 - 5 inches long), or a couple smaller ones (~3 inches). On my 1100 Watt microwave, I cook for 2.5 minutes, then flip the Potato Express over and do another 2.5 minutes. It comes out perfectly each time that way. If you don't flip it, usually a section of the potato isn't all the way done, even though I have a rotating carousel in the microwave.

bien mais épaisseur très fine. serait beaucoup mieux si le sac été épais car on se brûle les doigt en le prenant. J'avais une autre marque bien épaisse et sans se brûler.

Quiero reemplazar mi Potato Express, que es increíble, sin embargo lo que recibí no se parece en nada a lo que se anuncia. Lo que recibí es como una pura bolsa de Nylon, envuelta en una bolsa de celofán, de pésima calidad. Cuidado si vas a comprar con ellos
