When I first opened the package, my first thought was I had made a mistake. They seemed flimsy and thin for supporting weight. After giving them a try, I realized that they really don't have to be thick, they need to be tough. I believe this material is perfect. It will prevent small items from falling through the wires and not add much in terms of weight or thickness. Fit the shelves nearly perfectly. REMEMBER....the measurements of most shelving units is from outside of pole to outside of pole...not the actual shelf size. Another thought...if you're not sure, order the bigger size. A good pair of snips will cut them down to perfect fit for an oddball size.

You need to zip tie them to a shelves. Very slippery. Drill a small hole in each end an zip tie. Nice to be able to see thru.

These were the right size for my shelves and the thickness was perfect.

I'm tickled pink with the liners. They fit my old shelving even with my bad math measurements! My purpose of the purchase was to creat a barrier so items would not fall through or create a ridge pattern in the bottom of my fabric. Ordinary foam board is not long enough for the size of the shelving I own. To be honest, I got tired of cutting foam board that wouldn't fit and look bad. The liner is just that, not a board. If you need something thick, this liner is not it. Five liners for this price is a great price. If your shelves are empty, you can have everything covered in less than 5 minutes. Look for a very large box to appear with your liners in it. No, it's not a tv! If you have time and access to foam boards long enough for your shelf, get to cutting. If you want to take the easy route, double check your measurements and make this purchase.

Color was a nice white without any discoloration. Light weight but not too flimsy. Of course easy to use & install since there's nothing to assemble. So far its working great. Stability it good & semi non slip.

If you need the racks for your cellar or garage for storage like that then maybe you don't need these, unless you're racking small items. I got these because I use the racks for food. I have a smaller kitchen without a lot of staorage. Without these the items tetter on the rails and can be unstable, unless the items and bigger or boxier. Using these, because they're stiff, makes it seem as though you have a solid shelf. Really! When you order use the size that comes closest to the shelf size, the numbers aren't that exact but are very close. 1 package will usually cover 1 rack, unless you use more or less shelving that came with it. I love these. I also do canning and the mason jars have a nice stable base to sit on to avoid them 'clicking' against each other.

Exactly what I was looking for

These shelf liners are fantastic for wire shelves. They are surprisingly stiff and sturdy, allowing you to put small things on the shelves that would normally just slip through. Note that the liner is more translucent than clear.
