Bostitch Staples Flooring Pneumatic Nailer

This nailer works great. I highly recommend it, and I would not hesitate to but it again, after having used it. I installed over 600 sq ft of 3/4" prefinished hardwood oak flooring, and had no issues with the tool. I had several jams that were operator error (not striking the plunger hard enough). I only had one jam that I could not attribute to my own mistake. The jams are pretty easy to clear using the allen wrenches supplied with the nailer, so it was not a big deal. The tool is very easy to load the cleats into. The nailer is also supposed to be able to shoot staples, but I did not use that feature and cannot comment how it works in that application. The tool comes with the nylon base for 3/4" flooring preinstalled, so I did not have to switch to one of the other sizes. I had seen some comments posted prior to me buying this saying that the nailer marred prefinished flooring and you needed to put something under it to keep from having that happen. I had no issues with any damage to the surface of the prefinished flooring. The only thing I did was to periodically (once every box of flooring or so) wipe off nylon base to make sure there was nothing on it to scratch the floor. I suspect their issues might have been small loose pieces of steel from the cleats getting wedged in the nylon base as they used it. I did use Bostich brand cleats with this - so maybe cheaper versions have loose debris with the cleats. I also saw a few reviews saying that the mallet included with the tool is not good quality. I almost ordered an extra one when I ordered this nailer to make sure I did not have down time due to the mallet breaking. I was NOT gentle with the mallet, and I had none of the issues people commented on - the head stayed firmly on the mallet and never showed any indication of play or looseness. The rubber face on the mallet used to strike the plunger on the nailed still looks like new after installing over 600 sq ft of flooring.

Bostich is the brand that sets the standard in pneumatic nail guns, and this is no exception. Used it to install a prefinished hardwood floor in my house and it drove every nail with ease. Because it comes with adjustment pads to accommodate different thickness of hardwood and a driving hammer, it is a great value for the money. 20 creates of hardwood later and it shows no sign of wear! The design makes it easy to use and is ergonomically designed to fit in tight spaces.

Great tool set. The mallet is fantastic. It is weighted well and swings easily. The nailer drives nails very efficiently at 95 psi.

Works great did several hundred sq feet of solid hickory flooring no issues no jams. Worth the money

We finally updated our old bostitch flooring nailer with a new one. The old one still worked fine, but we occasionally need a second one on the job. The new model is so much better. I guess that is to be expected that technology makes improvement in the last 15 years. The new one requires very little force to actuate the firing of the staple. It is almost just raise the hammer and let the weight of the hammer engage it, compared to the old model which took some swing with a bit more force. The included hammer is versatile and functional. It has the softer side to engage the nailer and the wedge shaped hard side to tighten the wood. The wedge shape makes it much easier to tighten the wood without damaging the top edge of the wood. A regular flat faced hammer has a tendancy to ding the top surface of the wood that doesn't always come out when sanding. This new model is a little lighter than the old model as well. It comes with two plates so you can use it with 3/4 inch wood or thinner wood. And each plate adjusts, so it can just about install any thickness of wood down to about 3/8. Our last Bostitch hardwood gun is still going strong after many years of use, and we expect this one to do the same.

Has worked very well for the engineered floor I put in. Would be a five if it didn't fire when nails are empty.

Works as described. No jamming or errors. Installed 1000 sqft with 2" cleats. Don't rent, just buy.

I’m 24 Years in business and I have few things to say, The staple gun works perfectly just couple things I don’t like this model is to heavy and piston shaft is to long, otherwise it a perfect tool⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Works very well. Not to heavy, my wife has no issues using it with the weight, no jams, would highly recommend.

I laid down like 1200 with a manual nailer, should have gotten this the first time around.. works well, a bit big and hard to get it into tight spots, but drives the nails home with one blow every time. It isnt clear if you get the mallet or not, but you do.
