Impressive Little Radio
I picked up this little radio to replace another small radio that broke after 22 years in my boat. I needed a small AM/FM/Weather Band radio to listen to FM music or NOAA weather while fishing. Its compact, reception is very good and clear. Sound quality is very good and it can get loud for a little radio. It tunes very easily and quick unlike digital tuning radios. Sorry, old school is sometimes better. Tunes into NOAA Weather Band easily and fast with very good reception. A great little emergency radio that also gets FM stations. Requires two AA batteries, the price is right and I'm impressed. It could make a neat and handy little gift. I'm really difficult to impress and this little radio meet or exceeded my expectations. I'm glad I purchased it.

Outshines the other's I've bought
Years ago, I had a very small portable Sony AM/FM that was longlasting and had terrific reception. Alas, Sony discontinued that model and made a larger one - about an inch think and 4 inches tall. It was a complete waste of money--static mostly. I ordered a second, and had same reception problem. I just purchased a Jazmm portable AM/FM -much smaller and compact than the Sony. It takes 2 AAA batteries, as opposed to the AAs Sony requires. Immediately --great, clear sound. All sorts of features - sleep/snooze, etc. but what delights me is the reception. I'd been listening to the radio on my iphone, but the streaming often skipped. This is absolutely a first-rate product, and I am overjoyed. It's streamlined, super light and small, and dependable.

It has good sound, sleep to radio, and with ear buds, has stereo sound.
It has AM/FM, digital tuning with easy to read display. Antenna only goes up and down. Sound is decent with built in speaker, but if you plug in ear buds or headphones you get true stereo sound. Comes with ear buds. Radio has fall asleep to radio, so you can select 90, 60, 45, 30, 10 minutes for sleep setting. Batteries last longer on 30 to 45 minute sleep setting. This works great. Uses two AAA batteries and uses them up quickly if you listen to radio every day for 2 hours. Controls are very tiny, like volume up/down, sleep switch is also the power on switch if you press upward on the button. Power switch is sometimes hard to get it to turn off radio. Some times I have had to set Sleep mode to 10 minutes in the daytime to turn off radio. You must adjust sleep time with another button that has left and right arrows and within seconds of pressing sleep switch. The button with arrows is also the tuning control. Hard to preset stations, so I don't try. Instructions with radio are so tiny, you need a magnifying glass to read them. Radio is fine for just tuning into your local strong FM stations. AM stations are harder to tune. For distant FM stations you can take a 3.5 connecting cable and lightly insert in ear jack for antenna boosting. Has alarm clock too, and time of day display. Not bad for the price. I have had mine for close to 2 yrs. You have to press another button to hear stereo sound in the ear buds, on top of radio, and tiny. Stereo sound through ear buds is very nice. Battery life of the 2 AAA batteries is not long lasting if you use this radio a lot; say like 5 days a week for about an 2 hours a day. Battery indicator drops below the 3rd mark, which is MAX power level, on your first day listening with brand new batteries. Buy plenty of batteries AAA size. Controls are tiny and function labels tiny, so not recommended for the elderly. I am in my mid 60s and can have trouble reading tiny words on controls. Radio is durable though, since it has fallen out of my shirt pocket several times and still works great. Sleep to radio works well. If you listen to lots of distant stations, I don't recommend any digital tune radio. AM stations will come in if they are strong enough; and you must turn radio itself for best AM reception. Lighted tuning dial display drains batteries faster. It goes off automatically.

Very good but not great...
I purchased to replace a Sangean I had for many years. For the price, it is a very nice radio but with some caveats... On the plus side: it is pretty easy to use and set the presets and clock. I am currently in a work-from-home situation and from the second-story room of my home, In my experience, I get great reception in a suburban area for both AM and FM stations and pretty decent regional AM reception for regional stations within 90-mile radius (obviously having to position the radio and avoid setting it near other electronic devices while listening to distant AM stations.) Also, I rarely use it without headphones but it is nice to have the external speaker and the size is just right for a pants pocket. On the minus side: It really burns through AAA batteries. I listen to it a couple of hours each day and it really goes through batteries- much more quickly than the Sangean I had previously. I have just purchased some rechargeables so I can swap those out as needed but definitely not long battery life. Also, the lock feature is not great and the clock resets every time the batteries are changed so I don't even set it anymore.

AM/FM Radio
I'm about this small AM FM radio. It works wonderfully and the clock on the front is just a plus.

Strong enough FM/AM radio signal.
Mainly got this radio for listening to at work. It's difficult to get a good signal in the building, but the channels come in very clear. Good size for fitting in your pocket. Seems to be good quality.

For the price, not a bad little radio.
This radio was easy to set up, owner’s manual was clear to read and with good information. The sound quality wasn’t to bad for this size radio and the price paid. AM and FM reception is good. The sound quality with earphones on FM is good and in stereo. AM band was also good. My only complaint was the display screen had a few minor scratches upon delivery. For the price, this radio seems to be a pretty good deal. Update: There was nothing wrong with the screen. I forgot to remove the protective strip on the screen. The company for this radio is excellent to deal with.

Nice!
In my hurricane-prone area it's always an idea to have an emergency bag/ go-bag / bug-out bag and it's always an idea to have a simple straightforward radio in there. Because, when the internet goes down and the cell tower blows over, chances are that good ol' RADIO will get you through for information. Except that the one in my bag had died of neglect, so I got this one. Pro: Compact, seems decently built. Reception is very good - indoors, where my old radio would have to be twisted, turned, pointed this way or that, if this one can get a station, it sticks with it. For many FM stations, the little rod antenna is optional ! Sound - decent volume available. On speech, it's very clear without being overly toppy or tinny. Music - well, it's not exactly a boombox, but music is quite listenable. In short, it sounds a lot better than the phrase "one-inch speaker" would suggest. Con: Only 20 memory slots per band - meaning that if you're in a metropolitan area, an FM scan will fill all the slots and start again at slot one (so, if your favourite station is in the 88Mhz region, that gets overwritten by something from about 107). So you need to curate your favourites manually. From other comments, not great battery life (as i say, this is going in the emergency kit, so i've only been playing with it rather than having it on all day). Buy decent batteries. Or lots of cheap ones. Or rechargeables. And using headphones will reduce consumption. The manual mentions Weather Band, which, of course, this doesn't have. If they could add WB, that would be a nice bonus. Then they could paint it yellow and charge twice as much..........add a serrated edge and call it "Tactical", three times as much ! In all, I'm rather sorry that my daily life has no need of this radio - because it's a nice little bit of kit.
