USB Microscope Camera 40X to 1000X, Digital Microscope with Metal Stand & Carrying Case Compatible with Android Windows Linux Mac, Portable Microscope Camera for Students Adults

Being a man over 60 and into electronics, swapping glasses all the time to see the tiny writing on components became a chore. searching the web I came across this microscope that seemed the answer as most of the time I would be sitting in front of a PC to use it. I wasn't sure what to expect for the very reasonable price, but wow was I surprised! it's perfect for what I want it for, easy to see the smallest details on a large screen and great for soldering small pins on a processor. Once you get the included stand set up it's good to go, the light is very bright and is adjustable, it's small size makes it easy to pack away in a very nice case when not needed which makes it very portable. Connectivity is good, the microscope will show up in Windows in the camera app so you can use it without installing further software. I'm very happy with the quality and it's made my hobby a lot easier. I would it.

This is a decent quality product, which is also reasonably priced. I think it is an inexpensive way to explore what a digital microscope can do for you. It will certainly serve that purpose well for me. It is supplied with the following: • a sturdy case • USB A to C adaptor • an adjustable stand • a printed instruction booklet • software on CD disc The USB A plug on the camera lead also contains an ingeniously concealed micro USB plug. There is also a brightness control in the lead, which controls how much light is projected onto the area that the microscope is scanning; more light does seem to enhance picture quality. The camera is well made and the focus control is easily adjustable. Unfortunately, the supplied stand lacks weight, which can cause the picture to jump about on screen when adjusting the focus slider. The size of print on the instruction booklet is on the small side, but I was still able to read it quite easily with my reading glasses. The the supplied software CD was a disappointment as each time I tried to install ‘Amcap’, the installation crashed. Downloading the software from the Cainda website resolved that problem. ‘Amcap’ worked fine on Windows 10 for pictures, see below, but I found getting good focus on video captures to be difficult although a more stable stand would probably help with this issue. I also managed to get decent pictures and good video capture using the Windows 10 Camera App, also see below. It might be worth mentioning that the camera input setting will need to be changed to use the digital microscope with the Windows Camera App. I managed to get the microscope to work on my Android phone using ‘USB Camera-Connect Easycap’, but this app is video capture only. The first and second pictures were taken with ‘Amcap’. The first is a ⅛ watt resistor, which is 1.5mm diameter and 3mm long. The second is a piece of writing paper and clearly shows the fibres in the surface of the paper. The third picture and the video capture were taken with the Window App. The picture is the surface of the “Enter” key on my keyboard.

This microscope works very well - I found it easy to set up and use. The stand slips a bit but you can get a better one from the company without further cost. A very good purchase. It is a good sturdy product and a good present for students also.Delivery was quick and the whole thing comes in a nice case.

Excellent value for money, and works on MacBook and Windows. I actually run virtual windows on my MacBook and it even works on the virtual machine. The software downloads fine, and you have the choice of how you wish to save the image. I wanted this to look at old jewellery (to help my elderly eyes!) and it is spot on for that. Image quality is good. The included stand is a bit wobbly, but I'm getting the more robust stand which will totally resolve this. I would note that the multi-USB plug seems a bit tight, so I am using it through an adapter/extender just in case I damage my machine's socket. It may be a fault of my machine and not the built-in plug, but always best to be safe.

Bought to observe details 250 microns apart which it does clearly. This plugged into laptop straight away and could open in the camera app in windows, other software easy to download and works. came with a small clear calibration/measuring card which will be useful. haven't got it working on my phone though, this could be a fault with the connection adapter which the manual advises would be replaced by them upon contact, or it could be I haven't spent enough time getting it to work (i'm not that fussed about using it on my phone so didn't bother fiddling too long with settings past downloading apps) , Of course some phones it doesn't work with anyway by all accounts so.... If you write a review you get a metal stand, though the stand it comes with functions OK and allows oblique angle viewing which is what I wanted

As can be seen in photo's the 'metal stand' is completely useless, a bad joke. If you want a good focus the microscope need to stay still...but can't put anything underneath the microscope. Looking to install after purchasing, going on Cainda website found GOOD NEWS - a height seetting metal stand for free if you text the message when you make the order but not mentioned in the listing description... I sent 2 messages to seller few days ago about this but " quick professional answer " still not coming so I consider is just not fair the stand coming with microscope is useless and I am not able to get a proper one to use this microscope so I RETURNED it. I didn't install yet as not passing the 1st step- setting properly on a useful metal stand. Now it dissapeard from Cainda's website what was written about the height metal stand for free or just I can't find it again to take a screenshot for proof.

REVIEW UPDATED: Had the scope a few days now. Even more impressed. If you contact https://caindahelp.com/download after purchase they will send you (free of charge) a fine adjust metal stand. This makes the microscope so, so much usable. I was struggling to find subject matter because it's the middle of winter and we have no insects around. I found a dried out fly left over from summer last year. Not ideal (desiccated and covered in dust etc). The fly was just under 4mm in total length. Photo 2 is a small section of one of it's legs ! Photo 3 is the bottom part of the @ symbol on the microscopes manual (see photo 4). 5 stars. Next purchase will be some preloaded slides I think. WOW! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Well, I ordered this microscope for my 10 year old Granddaughter and I'll be honest, I wasnt expecting much given the price. Boy! was I surprised. So easy to set up via the android and PC apps (One caveat, this model does not work with Apple IOS (surprise surprise) for that you will need the wi-fi version.) The unit is easy to use and the images are shown (LIVE) on your Phone/Tablet Screen. I was able to take my first image within 5 minutes of unboxing it. It's the tiny printed writing on the side of a Sharpie Pen. That's a first image straight out of the box and handheld. I'll post better ones to this review at a later date. Superb value for money and a toe dip into micro photography without breaking the bank.

Out of the box plug and play in Windows 11 with the built in camera app and Android using OTG viewer app, also other software options provided at the cainda web page. Easy connection via a combo USB and USB micro connector and an included USB-C adapter, everything neatly packed in a compact case. The microscope has focal distance for difference magnifications. You need adjust the distance between microscope and object to change the magnification, and then adjust the focus roller to get a clear image. Perfectly reasonable and adjustable light ratio too, get the focus and distance right and images are crisp and clear! The included stand/holder isn't the best crafted thing in the world but should be good enough to hold the device in place steady for you to examine any object under the scope. All things considered like ease of use, functionality, image quality and a fair price, overall very pleased with it and look forward to using it for my magnification needs.

Die Kamera ist sehr leicht zu bedienen und die Bilder sprechen für sich. Als Hobbyfotograf habe ich schon lange mit dem Gedanken gespielt, neben herkömmlichen Makroaufnahmen auch mal etwas "Mikroskopie Fotografie" zu betreiben. Da ich erst einmal schauen wollte was es so gibt, viel meine Wahl auf diese Kamera. Ich war völlig vorurteilsfrei von bisherigen Rezensionen und bestellte die Kamera. Kann nichts schiefgehen für das Geld. Da für mich nur eine Bildwiedergabe am PC in Frage kommt, habe ich erst gar nicht versucht irgendeine APP auf dem Handy zu installieren. Kamera ausgepackt - USB verbunden - fertig. Ohne Installations CD oder Treiber aus dem Netz zu installieren. Sie wurde von meinem PC sofort erkannt und es konnte losgehen. Absolut kein Problem. Die Schärfe lässt sich gut regulieren und auch das eingebaute Ringlicht ist stufenlos in der Helligkeit anzupassen. Das Einzige was mir etwas missfällt ist der Original Standfuß der Kamera. Er ist sehr leicht und bei jeder Bewegung ruckelt es ganz schön. Da ich aber auch viel selbst bastele habe ich mir einen festeren Stand gebaut, der auch stufenlos regulierbar ist um scharfe Bilder zu erzeugen. Also abgesehen von dieser kleinen Modifikation kann ich über die eigentliche Kamera nichts negatives sagen. Sicherlich gibt es auch weit aus teurere Geräte. Aber jeder soll für sich selbst entscheiden, welche Ansprüche er hat. Sicherlich werde ich mich auch später einmal nach etwas Höherwertigen umschauen. Aber bis jetzt bin ich voll zufrieden und habe Spaß daran, kleine Dinge mal ganz anders zu betrachten.

Windows'ta kamera olarak otomatik olarak tanınıyor, driver yüklemeye gerek yok. Android için play store'daki herhangi bir usb kamera uygulaması ile çalışıyor. Ben Samsung Note 10 kullanıyorum, herhangi bir otg kablosuna ihtiyaç duymadan doğrudan type c ile kullanabildim.

A nice little unit that does what I bought it to do! The zoom is great! It took me a bit to reliably control the magnification levels I required but once I figured out how the holder moved it worked much better. The light is adjustable which allows you to remove any glare from intensity. I found the maximum illumination way too bright for any of my close up samples but really helps if the sample is further away. The picture quality is amazing just like adjusting on my camera based on depth or distance from lense. This is a good quality microscope/ digital camera. Definitely a good value for the money.
