Very good light weight grabber
This reacher really is made super light, with as much functionality as possible. It has a pin a the end which makes it a pretty good dressing stick. The jaws are better than some others at picking up things flat on the floor. It’s stiffer than some reachers that fold in the middle. The trigger grip works good. The downsides are that it’s not super strong, just strong enough. Sometimes the jaw flexes off to the side and gets caught along the bar when you squeeze. I like it for special tasks where this jaw or the dressing pin can be helpful. If the super light weight was really important to me, I would use it every day. Maybe it would not last as long, but it would be worth buying another one if it wore out.

One is stationed everywhere I go during surgery recovery
This is the second purchase. I bought these to recover from spine surgery in 2022. They worked great. After wearing out the first pair over the last 3 years, I ordered these. Light weight, has the hook on top for positioning clothing or closing drapes and a plastic clip to attach it to my walker, these are PERFECT. I now have one hanging in my toilet room, one clipped to the walker, one hanging on my bed headboard and one hanging in the closet. If i drop one on the floor, another is close by to pick it up. So functional! Great value.

Excellent tool
This tool is so helpful with reaching into bushes & shrubs. We purchase a new one every year. Especially useful for anyone with age/disability issues. Our yard man was so impressed with ours that he purchased several for his own crew. Highly recommend, just keep a sharp edge on it.

A perfectly adequate product
Having very serious back problems after 40 years of surgeries and worsening health, this was something I badly needed. I already had what my wife and I colloquially refer to as one 'reacher,' so this was a potential replacement in case the other gave up the ghost. Aside from that, I needed another anyway, so I didn't need to carry the other around with me (on the rare occasion I actually go somewhere else inside my home). The one I already owned we bought at a medical supply shop and it is sturdy and very handy. I can pick up a dropped pill or an opened 16oz bottle of water with equal ease (and no spills on the latter). Unfortunately, this new 'reacher' isn't that sturdy. It will pick up a single dropped pill, but it isn't at all designed for grabbing or lifting something as heavy as a 16oz drink. I also can't use it for something like a magazine or small book. On the positive side however, one handy feature I discovered completely by accident (the product comes with no documentation of any kind) is one of those powerful, small magnets installed in the very front of the main aluminium spar. With it, I've picked up a junior-sized Swiss army knife (not the normal, pocket-sized version I carry around with me) I keep handy for quick use by either of us. Anything lightweight and rounded is a cinch to snag, even small bottles of paint, such as Apple Barrel 2oz craft paints). Square items aren't too bad either, so long as they're lightweight, and as mentioned, it will also pick up small metallic objects magnetically. I only needed one, but at this price, the two I received were just a lagniappe with the purchase. My wife keeps one on her side of the couch, and I the same, as well as beside my desk and modeling work area. The simple long screw that protrudes from the top may look strange and ungainly, but it proves quite useful too. With it, I can move objects around, an example of which would be to reach behind an object (such as a heavy book on the floor) and use the protruding screw to drag it near enough for me to pick up by hand. All in all, a useful and handy product for the price, although the old saw holds true: you get what you pay for. For something a bit more rugged and able to lift heavier objects, another, more expensive product will be necessary. If your needs are mostly lightweight (which really seems to be the case for my wife and I, the majority of the time), this will do the job. It's not great, but it's not bad at all, which accounts for the four-star rating. An adequate, inexpensive product that does the job most of time, and hey, you get two! :-)

Little Grabber
Great grabber but make sure you get the larger ones. Small work great if you are very close to items being grabbed

RMS’s Featherweight Reacher
RMS’s Featherweight Reacher is a highly-rated, lightweight (26 or 32-inch) grabber designed for daily, low-strength tasks. I praise the reacher for offering excellent value for recovering patients or those with arthritis. It features a rotating, magnetic-tipped jaw and an ergonomic trigger for picking up small items, though it is not suited for heavy lifting.

Great product.
I have been using mine for over 20 years and they are great quality. I just ordered another one to cover up and downstairs. Great for tempting my front loader washer. With the lower height and it's hard to empty it. They are strong.

Good grabber, useless magnet
This is the best type of reacher out there. Square body is much stronger than the round ones, and the gripper is much better at grabbing many types of objects than other types. On my old one, the post eventually worked loose and was lost, and then the tip with the magnet disappeared one day (I blame children, not the reacher), so I decided it was time to buy another. These ones seem to be of similar quality to my previous one, with one glaring exception: the magnet. I regularly stored my old one by hanging it by the magnet. I went to put my new one away and it wouldn’t stick. My old one could pick up heavy cutlery, the new one can barely make a spoon flinch.

They work OK the magnet is not the strongest, but can lift small objects. As with most most grabbers, it’s hard to pick paper up off the floor, but it works well with things that have contours.

After breaking any number of competitor grabbers which always fail at the plastic mechanism pieces, I have gone back to buying these. The part that matter are housed within an aluminium channel, and - as a result - don't wear out. It can't be over-strained no matter how strong your hand strength. Can pick up things twice as heavy as any other grabber I have bought. And, I have bought a few. You can go for the cheap rubbish that won't last out a year, or get these. The oldes one I have of these is so old, I can't even remember when I bought it. And still going strong.

Please do yourselves a favour and don't buy any other garbage. After breaking about 10 plastic pieces-of-crap that I bought from the local shops, I bought the original grabber. Which is this one. that 12 about 6 years ago. Simple design that just lasts. Mainly because of the simple sting-pull-design; and the fact that the actual shaft is made out of reinforced aluminium channel. If you buy this product, it will LAST.

Grippy, strong, simple mechanics. Some damage may be repaired by some users themselves.

This is a great tool but handy to remember that 70cm requires some bending. Great grip though and well built
