Ruff Bone Bacon Flavored Chew Toy, Large

Just got this in the mail for my 8 month old Labrador Retriever. After about 30 minutes she had already chewed the end off (an inch or so). She loves her Nylabones, and I thought this would hold up like some of those. The material is not nearly as hard as a Nylabone. I took it away from her because unlike Nylabones that when chewed do not come off in chunks, but instead more like flakes and can safely be ingested, this Astrobone comes off in visible chunks that are very easily ingested. The side of the bone that she chewed now has hard rough edges with pieces hanging off that she would try to pull and eat, which is why I took it away. I imagine it would only take a few hours to chew through the entire thing.Perhaps it is better suited for dogs who are very mild to moderate chewers, but not for those who really enjoy chewing on a bone for extended periods. I will not be purchasing another Astrobone for my Lab, as I do not want her ingesting pieces. Not recommended for powerful chewers.

My dog loves these. They don't last terribly long, maybe a week. He chews them up and, unfortunately, swallows most of the little bits, which seem to go straight through him and out the other end. I assume that's okay? Or they wouldn't be selling them?

We have a 50 pound dog that may have jaws like a steel trap. She had this tore into pieces in about 10 minutes. The packaging said for strong chewers, but not for ours.

Item is not as described on package in photo. This is not a flexible chew toy -- far from it. It's a hard plastic.

I bought two of these. The dogs didn't care what color or flavor they were, and they didn't like them.

This lasted about 30 minutes before my 40 lb border collie was removing large chunks and swallowing them. Even with the expectation that the toy will eventually be destroyed, if you have a dog who is an aggressive chewer, this is not the right toy for you.

Definitely not a “60lb and up” product as the description says. My 100lb Rottweiler mix had this for less than 5 minutes and the bone is completely destroyed with massive teeth dents and large chunks missing. Disappointed because I know the brand makes excellent balls...

I got my weimaraner this chew bone about a month ago, along with another chicken flavored chew bones made by Dura Chew nyalbone. This one my dog preferred over the others, but this one was chewed up within a few hours. Oppose to the Dura Chew, that my dog still chewing on and it barely looks like she's chewed on it, but still loves it.

Not very durable. Ended up having to throw this out after only a couple of days because my dog was able to chew this down to a nub so quickly.
