Why does this come with "proposition 65 warning for california consumers warning: cancer and reproductive harm"? what part specifically is effected?

Upon further research, I believe the prop 65 warning refers to the creation of acrylamide from sugar. "High temperatures during cooking convert sugars and other naturally occurring substances in these foods to acrylamide. Acrylamide is on the Proposition 65 list because it can cause cancer. Acrylamide is also on the Proposition 65 list because it can cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. It can affect the development of the fetus and can harm the male reproductive system. Levels in food are generally well below the levels currently believed to cause these harmful effects." Not sure if the plastic surround also contains BPA, unless it is clearly stated to not contain BPA, that might be another reason prop 65 is listed. Finally, claiming CA is a "sue-happy state" dismisses valid warnings that others might find important. Everyone should have all the info so they can make the best decision for their families. You might not care about birth defects and fetal harm, but someone who is pregnant might find that useful. Although as the prop 65 page has stated, the amount is low enough to be safe, having this info allows every parent to make an informed decision for their children.
