these kayak paddle grips didn't disappoint for the value of the money they are very nice and easy to use. the size of them is perfect. They function as they should and I would buy them again.

Installation is a pain first off. The directions are garbage. Learned my lesson since I have bought a new Werner CF paddle and have to buy another set of these. The pair shown is on an Aquabound 2 piece CF paddle. Quality and comfort fantastic. No slippage when wet, also helps as second block from water sliding down paddle after each stroke and no issue with blisters or hands hurting after hours of use. Per installation, use either a light amount of olive oil or petroleum jelly or some other light lubricant that can be wiped with water after to put these on. DO NOT follow their directions for using water to wet inside cause and I’ll tell you first hand it is a painfully arduous task especially getting the grips over the center locks on two piece paddles. Beyond that no one should paddle without these, it’s a game changer.

I love the look and feel of them on my kayak paddle. But couldn’t give a full 5 star review because they are quite difficult to get on. The directions say to make sure the paddle and grip is wet and we damn near had to put them on underwater to get them to slide into place but once they are set they are not moving any place!

These grips are very comfortable for hours of paddling. Installing them on the "Abahub Carbon Kayak Paddles" was very easy as they slid on without much effort, i'm guessing the Abahub Carbon Kayak Paddles have a shaft that is a hair smaller than the inside dimensions of these grips. The grips slid on easy and for the most part stay in place, but have a tendency to slowly slide under use from the spot where I place them. I'm thinking of using some clear silicone to glue them in place. Highly recommend these grips.

These weren’t the easiest to install but weren’t exceptionally hard either. The issue I had was that there was a thin rubber coating over the grip sections of my paddle and the foam did NOT want to slide over it, no matter how wet both were. I wasn’t sure I was going to like the foam grips so didn’t want to cut the pre-installed thin gripping. I did eventually wrestle them on and am SO glad I did. Dang. What a difference! 1. It’s a nice change knowing exactly where to place your hands. No more rebalancing the paddle. Grab and go after the initial adjustment. 2. After several hours out paddling, there is far less strain on the hand and palm. It creates a more comfortable grip that lessens pressure on the hands. I can’t say anything about the longevity of the product. I got them late in the season. We will see how they hold up through the winter and what happens with regular use in the spring.

Let’s start with positives. So I do like the grip these give. I have a black kayak paddle - yeah that does NOT feel good in the hot sun. So these did help with that as well. But…. Cons - they are HARD. No cushion at all! Just grip. I wished they would update their description. No cushion. Again I will say it for those in the back - no cushion. Just grip. The rings that go around it in hurts. After paddling for 6 hours I have blisters and I found them actually so uncomfortable by the end I was purposely choosing to put my hands on the black parts of my paddle that were smooth just to avoid that textured grip that hurt my blisters. To put them on - use dish soap! Not just water. They are harder to put on split kayak paddles with a bigger knuckle in the middle like line that allows you to adjust length and angle of your paddle. But it is doable with some patience and lots of dish soap. Will not get these again. Really truly wished they were squishy like the silicone stress balls. But this is hard silicone .

I'm very impressed with the quality of the product however I've not gotten the chance to try them out! Will come back and let you know!

I got these bc I tend to blister after an hour of paddling. They did prevent blisters and were more comfortable. They were every bit as hard to put on as previous reviews. Yes, I did get them wet, soaked them first just as instructed didn't help me that much. I tried rubbing alcohol bc that works well for grips on handlebars and that was a little easier for me. I did eventually get them in place. I totally forgot they were glow in the dark so that was a nice surprise. The blue color was just as pictured and matched my kayak as I'd hoped. You need these!

It was a tough workout getting the grips on the paddle, however, with lots of huffing we managed to get them on. We bought 2 sets, worth while, feel comfortable and will help greatly

New to kayaking and I was getting blisters so I decided to gives these a try. After several hours of paddling no more blisters! They work and the grip is comfortable. BTW installation is super easy... just use a tiny bit of dish soap on the paddle shaft while wetting them. They slip on quite easily. Took me about 1 minute to do both.
