Can anyone tell me if this bread machine produces soft bread results?

Yes, this bread machine can definitely produce soft bread. The actual softness of a loaf varies with the flour type and the bread type. For example, a loaf made using bread flour tends to be softer than all purpose flour; sweet bread and brioche bread are softer than basic white bread. Most of our recipes (not all) are designed to produce loaves with crispy crusts and chewy interiors (the traditional bread way). If you want your loaves to be fluffier and softer, you can try adding 10-20 ml (10-20g) of extra liquids (water or milk) or reducing 1/8 cup (16-18g) of flour for a recipe. Can it make keto breads with almond or coconut flour?

Although the machine was not pre-programmed for Keto Breads, you can easily set cycle times of HOME MADE Menu (#29) for Keto Breads: KNEAD_1 = 7mins; REST_1 = 5mins; KNEAD_2 = 8mins; BAKE = 50mins. Well mix almond flour, baking powder, xanthan gum, etc., add them to egg mixture inside the bread pan, and start the machine. Once HOME MADE Menu is set for Keto Breads, the settings are saved, and you don't need to set the cycle times again next time when make Keto Breads.

Can anyone tell me if the French bread recipe calls for oil or butter and if the ingredients are measured by cups or grams? Thank you

The French bread recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of olive oil but it's optional. The measurements for flours are in both grams and cups; the measurements for other ingredients are in cups / tablespoons / teaspoons.

My new machine buzzes when plugged in (like the transformer on the dawn to dusk lights).  Is this normal?
