Perfect for implementing knowledge from the textbook
This workbook is a fantastic way to start your journey to learning Japanese. It’s perfect for implementing the knowledge gained for the textbook and goes over all the key aspects of Japanese Hiragana, Katakana, grammar and vocabulary are all condensed inside. Highly recommend despite the Genki set being on the more expensive side

Great companion to the Genki Textbook, ideal for self motivated Japanese learners
If you are planning on studying Japanese, this book is the ultimate companion to the Genki 1 Textbook. It includes 152 pages worth of content, including writing practice as well as working through different exercises. It's targeted at beginner Japanese learners, namely those who are looking at passing JLPT 5. The tasks do require reading and understanding, and it's best to use it alongside the textbook, however there are heaps of online resources that can guide you. The only drawback is that if you are self studying, there is no answer key included with the workbook, but you can purchase the companion Genki Answer Key separately if you want to check and validate your answers.
