has anyone tried using this for sublimation

I use it for sublimating on fabrics but it doesn't work well with glass or other harder substrates

I got some of the spray on an area of my fabric I didn’t want it, and it makes it look like there is a permanent wet spot there. How do I clean it off

You can remove it with soap and water, or you can try Murphy's Oil Soap and a sponge.

Can this be used to hold fabric on an embroidery machine? Does it gum up needles.

I would think using it that way would be no problem. I've used it for 4 years and I haven't experienced it gumming up the needle. You don't spray the fabric heavily , just lightly.

If not washed out, does this become a permanent adhesive?

No, it eventually lets loose if not washed.

Simplifies your Quilting

Simplifies your Quilting. This is a good quality spray, keeps your batting, backing and top in place without causing any sticky residue on your needle. Makes machine quilting, making tight swirls and circles easy to do. When you’re done your back is just as smooth as can be without adding any pins or hand basting. I would never try to do a Quilt again without it. If you check prices this is probably half the price for the same product that you would pay in a fabric or quilting store. Heat bond is a quality manufacturer.
