The Ancient Magus' Bride Vol. 3

It's been a very long time since I have been so into a manga I literally count the days to the release of new chapters. This series is stunning, both for it's delightful artistry, but also for it's storytelling. The world is immersive, expansive, and feels limitless. The characters are captivating, compelling, and each chapter just leaves you wanting more. Hand's down one of the most thorough world's I've had the pleasure to get sucked into, the lore is just so wonderful and deeply integrated into the storytelling process it's a true gem and work of art. If you haven't given this series a try I urge you to do so, the anime is also wonderful and follows the manga to a T. Don't miss out on this on this one, you wont regret it!

Ever since I got started on the series, I have gotten so addicted to the adorable romance and story about the main characters!!! The development between both of them, and of their own backstories help tie the loose ends up, and as they reach the climax, it is more amazing and romantic!!

Loving this series! Cannot wait for the future volumes to come. What is really making my heart flutter about these books (besides Chise and Elise!) is the time that Kore (artist/author) took to research the some of the real information on some of the magical beings, items ect. For example, the character that takes care of the house, she is a Brownie and a little detail that got me was that Chise will leave a little bit of cream for her on a shelf as a "thank you" and that is something a person would do to appease the gentle and caring house fairies. Other then accurate details this series is a delight to read, though I would have to agree with another rating I read that the relationship between Chise and Elise is kind of progressing fast without much interaction or reason other then he is the only person (wizard, fairy,demon?) ever to want her at all. All in all like many on here agree, it's a good series to read and I recommend it too!

It showed up quickly and in great shape. There’s no damage or wear. I don’t, however, like the packaging it came it. I had to be quite careful getting the book out of the packaging. It has some kind of sticky interior that tried to stick to the book around the edges. But, seeing it wasn’t damaged, I’m quite happy.

Book is amazing. Just one problem: the package had the book curved a little bit. Like the entire width of the book was like a wave. I fixed it by pressing it down with weight, but i did not like that at all. Otherwise, great buy for whose who are a fan

This volume holds a special place in my heart because of Chise's new friend and finally getting ready to know more about Elias!

This is an enjoyable series, dark at times yet still having warmth and some comedy. I saw the movie and watch the anime. It's nice to see they followed the books so closely. Fortunately I can read ahead of the anime so get to read what is coming.

Still loving the Old English folklore that feels to be the basis of this series. #3 sets up a lot of plotpoints for some epic stuff in the future books (hopefully!). Highly recommend this series.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Such a unique romance that is fun and exciting in so many ways! Filled to the brim with all sorts of creatures, magic, fairies, dragons and more! If you love those things you will love this! Definitely pick yourself up the Ancient Magus' Bride books 1,2, and 3! This manga is great! It has a little bit of something for everyone! It's a good mix of a bit of horror, fantasy, drama and romance! I adore this series and I am so glad I bought the first few books! If you love fantasy stories that are a bit different than you will love this manga! I love it so much I CAN'T WAIT to for all the other books to come out!!! It's SO exciting! I cannot stress how much I LOVE this new manga! Love the art, love the characters! Such a fun read I even read books 1 - 3 twice already in two weeks!!!

The story itself is just amazing. With every volume they introduce you to more of their lore and their world. It's just an endearing story with twists and turns that the main characters have to figure out how to deal with. Sometimes they come out on top, while in others they don't. The delivery was quick and the manga arrived in great condition.

No te contaré muchos detalles de la historia para que la descubras por ti misma, la historia es muy linda y tierna con una protagonista que tiene un pasado muy trágico y que justifica, mucho mejor que en la Bella y la Bestia, el motivo por el que nuestros protagonistas se queden juntos a pesar de que Elias (él que sería la Bestia) le da a Chitose (nuestra bella) la libertad inmediatamente. El formato es un poco más caro que el de otros editoriales, posiblemente por ser más pequeña, y es para una audiencia para adolescentes pro que toca temas fuertes. Recuerden que ya salió el primero de los tres OVA's de este manga y para poder entenderlo tendrán que haber leído al menos los primeros tres volúmenes.

Item arrived in good condition. The story is very magical, kinda like Harry Potter but more poignant and warm. Some say that there's a Stockholm Syndrome-esque relationship between the two main characters (the skull guy and the ginger girl in the cover) but I don't see it that way. It has a more familial vibe to it, with their dynamics shifting from father/daughter to mother/son to teacher/student (with either of them being the teacher or student). And the art is beautiful and very detailed. Highly recommended by me.

Granddaughter loved it. She’s reading the series. They are backwards graphic novels.
