Amazing tech bringing old cars into the future
Amazing tech to bring bluetooth function in older cars. I use this in my 2004 mercedes benz slk320 cassette player and it sounds great when I leave my phone at half the volume and crank up the volume on the cars radio as needed. I dont hear any static when I do that. It also holds a great charge. I use the car a lot when the weather allows for me to drop the convertible top and this holds a charge for about 2 weeks, but I uninstall it everytime Im done using it and hold the power button until it shuts off, than I turn it back on and reinstall it when needed

Good product
Connects good. Battery life good. Tremble sound quality kinda lacks - cuz its Bluetooth. Used it for months and gave me no issues.

Beware of the two different hardware revisions
I bought one of these in January 2026. Sound quality was great, but it was a little noisy mechanically - the plastic gears inside were producing noise. Some other buyers recommended lubricating the gears, which i did with some gun oil (6 screws cab easily removed with a Phillips screwdriver) That worked great, no more mechanical noise. I use that cassette in one of the cars. Then I needed another one and ordered it in May 2026. Looked exactly the same, but it made a lot of static noise when BT gets connected, the sound volume was much lower (meaning i get more static when i amplify the signal). There is seems to be a different BT chip in the new ones - the one i got in January produced a chime when BT gets connected, and the one from the May order says it with a voice "Bluetooth connected!". So, i decided to return this one, hoping to get a good one in exchange. The replacement was from the same "bad" hardware revision batch, same exact issue with the static and same voice announcement. So, I returned it as well, this time for a refund. Then I order the same device from W*lmart, and got the "good" revision, with a "chime" and no static, and I immediately ordered another three, to give to my friends and still have a back up. I am not sure which of the two hardware revisions is newer, they both had the same exact model/part number. But the one with a "ding" for connection works very well, and the one with a human voice announcement does NOT.

$20 to update a receiver.
Works perfectly. My car has no aux port input. I use this to stream music from phone while it in its charging cradle on dash. Be aware that it doesn’t let you use it for hands free phone calls (it doesn’t play the phone call through speakers). There isn’t a mic on this cassette. I guess if that’s important to you, buy the one with the little cord that hangs out of your deck. I just prefer not to have that extra potential failure spot and the mics on those types of things are usually sketch, IMHO. $20 well spent. I have no whine or other noises when using, and the auto shutoff function works perfectly to preserve the battery. Mine has been in the vehicle for two weeks now without needing to be recharged, but I don’t use it all the time, either.

Definitely Worth the Price.
I purchased the rechargeable version to avoid more wires to connect. I use this device to play AppleMusic through my old motorcycle's cassette deck. The sound is great (be sure to turn up the volume on the phone) and the battery has yet to let me down on roadtrips. I simply recharge it between rides. Much better sound than my helmet speakers. Worth the price for sure. Upgrading my cassette deck would cost several hundred dollars.

Low sound volume
It’s ok. I have an 05 vehicle and maybe that’s a contributing factor but the volume is low. Even when my phone and car volume settings are all the way up. The device only goes up to 40. (For my car stereo at least.) I like to have the windows down and the music loud. But if you’re fancy with good ac and don’t need the window down then I guess the volume being that low may not be a bother. It has a decent charge. Very good product and easy to use. I just can’t hear my music as loud as I want to.

Exactly what you're looking for to get that sound deck working again.
Works amazing. To avoid the noise others have mentioned be sure to hit play and pause. It still works and no noise from the cassette turning over and helps with the sound quality. Absolutely worth the small price to vitalize an other wise accent piece of sound equipment. Would buy again many times over.

Nice alternative to an aftermarket headunit
Nice alternative to aftermarket head units It's 2026, and most Bluetooth-to-FM or cassette adapters are based on pretty old technology. With Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and factory Bluetooth being so common now, products like this aren't as necessary as they used to be. That said, if you're like me and drive a bit of a time capsule, you may not want to install an aftermarket head unit and change the original look of the interior. In that case, this is a solid alternative. For under $30, my expectations were reasonable. It came charged out of the box, paired with my phone quickly, and reconnects without any issues every time I start the car. The only problem I've run into is the audio output. No matter what settings I adjust, the sound comes through more like mono than true stereo. One speaker is noticeably quieter while the other is loud and clear, even after checking the balance and fader settings in the car. Overall, if you're looking for an inexpensive Bluetooth cassette adapter and want to keep your factory stereo, this has been a good option so far. Hopefully the stereo issue is something that can be resolved.
