Awesome Product and Amazing company
I am so in love with my mail chime. I am very impress with how well it works. It truly do let you know when your mail has arrived. It also lets you know if someone has open your mail box, along with if some one is trying to steel your mail. It is very simple to install, Just add battery to sensor, and mount it to your mail box. Now plug in your receiver into a electric outlet. On the back is a round dial to turn it on, and to adjust the volume. First time it beeped it scared me, I had forgot that it was there. Now I look forward to hearing it beep 4 times. There are times when I forget it had beeped, but the red light that stay on reminds me that mail had came. Just remember to reset mail chime when you get your mail. It is also very nice that if you do not want to hear the beeps just turn it down and the red light will still remind you mail has came. If your sensor seem to have problems ringing when your mail has arrived. Go out to your mail box and change the battery (A23) in side of the sensor. When changing the battery in the sensor you will need to take out the 4 screws to see the battery inside. Be very carful the screws are very small. This product has been so awesome for me, and I hope it will be the same for you. The company is so amazing and so humble, and they are always there to help and support you.

Very nice for those who want to know if the mailman came without constantly checking the mailbox
I bought this for my elderly mother in law for Christmas. It is very well made Her mailbox is at the curb and she always has to walk there with her cane to see if the mailman came. Now, she can stay inside and listen for the chime and watch for the bright light lets her know the mail is there. Such a simple thing that has helped her tremendously. It fits perfectly in her mailbox too.

It works!
It works! My mailbox is about five car lengths from the house. I can't see the mailbox or hear the mail truck. A mailbox with a lock would prevent theft, but not alert me when the mail arrived. Thereโs one that has a yellow flag that pops up, but I would have to go outside to see it (and thieves would know mail was inside). So this seemed like the best solution, to avoid multiple trips to check for mail. The chime receiver box takes up little counter space (3.25 x 4.25 inches). The two prongs on the outlet plug are the same size, so it fits older outlets as well. It can also be turned either way, if another plug is on the same outlet. First to check if it was functioning, I went down the hallway and tilted the transmitter bar in my hand. The receiver, plugged into the same outlet as the landline phone, worked. But when the transmitter was installed on the mailbox, it didnโt. So I tried another outlet nearby, and it works. The battery that was included worked. I bought a new battery, so it will last longer. The A23 battery is small (almost half the size of AAA), and the hardware store keeps it behind the customer service counter. Be sure itโs A23, as there are other batteries about the same size. It cost about $4. The screws to remove the transmitter cover require a small Phillips screwdriver (size 2.4 mm). When replacing the cover, hold it up to the light to see that the screw holes line up. There is a right or wrong way to fit it. My mailbox seems to be coated or made of vinyl. As a reviewer suggested, I cleaned the door with alcohol, before applying the adhesive-backed transmitter. Itโs been one month, and itโs firmly attached. Iโll report back if the warm weather affects the glue later. If this mail chime doesnโt work for your mailbox location, you might consider it for other uses around the house or property. For instance, to call a family member to dinner or if you need assistance. Just pick up the transmitter and tilt it. No shouting or taking out cellphones. Update: It's been a year, and the battery needed replacement. Maybe once or twice a month the alarm didn't go off, but otherwise it's been very reliable. The glue has held firmly!

The mail person was in stealth mode
I loved the idea of this device. And it installed easily. The transmitter range and functionality are good. I tested it myself multiple times after installing it last evening. The lowest volume of the speaker is still too loud. But the nice thing is that you can leave the volume off and just use the light to signal when the mail person cometh. However, on day one I was tricked! The light was off all night. I was glad that nobody messed with my mailbox overnight. But I had a letter to send out in the mail this morning, so I walked it out to the mailbox and lo and behold, there was already a letter in my mailbox! How did the mail person drop a letter in there without causing the light to turn on? It also seemed too early in the day for the mail to arrive. Surely I couldn't have missed seeing a letter in my mailbox last night while I was installing the Mail Chime. Hmmm. Curiouser and curiouser. When I came back inside, the light was on, because, yeah, I had opened the mailbox to put my outgoing mail in there. Like other reviewers, I face-timed my daughter and she aimed her camera at the light on the base, and I aimed my camera at the mailbox door. It was discovered that the door has to be opened nearly half-way before it'll trigger the light. So if the mail person has only one letter to put in my box (like today), she may only open the mailbox door just a crack and slip the letter in. And as long as she doesn't jar the mailbox too violently while opening the door, the light will not come on. Wow. Who would have thought the mail person would be so careful? I picture the mail person as being in a hurry and yanking the door open and letting it fall all the way down, then shoving the mail in the box and slamming the door closed. I suppose like everyone else these days, the mail person has to be as efficient as possible. A split second saved at each residence by using two hands and opening the mail box door less than halfway must really add up! Oh, well. I can only hope that on most days, when I receive all that junk mail, the mail person will have to open the door wider and trigger my Mail Chime light. The good news is that the double-stick tape is solid as a rock! When I went out there to experiment, I was going to try and peel off the sensor and relocate it on the mailbox door. But I couldn't get the darned thing off! That tape really sticks!

Works Perfectly and has a silent mode
Very easy to install - it took less than 5 minutes. The red light is easy to see, and the chimes get your attention. On that note...I failed to read the instructions properly and thought the dial on the back was the device on/off switch which also controlled the volume. As such, I had the dial set to the lowest setting, but the chimes were still pretty loud in my quiet home office. During a client conference call, the mail came earlier than expected and the chimes did their thing. The people on the call thought their own fire alarms were going off. Nope - it was me. I dashed over to turn off the device and finally realized the dial on the back is a VOLUME control, not an on/off switch. So, yes, the device can operate in silent mode! The product makes my mailbox much more secure since it tells me if the mailbox door has been opened, and it has cut down on all those unnecessary trips to the box to see if the mail has arrived. It is well-made, and is highly recommended.
