I am an emergency medicine doctor. My job requires that I recognize known and unknown factors that feature in good decision-making. Let me help reduce the unknown in your decision- making. The unknown, for these products, was: * Do the batteries have sufficient endurance to do the job? * Do these power tools have sufficient power / torque to do the job? * Are they built to last? “Yes,” is the answer to these questions, although I am answering the last question based on appearance, not experience. Now, don't be confused...you are not getting a machine that will run for hours on end without changing or charging the battery - but surely, you already knew that. So, for me, the only remaining questions were, * Was I ready to discard the gas powered paradigm - that is, untimely trips to the gas station to refill fuel containers, occasional fuel spills in the car, and associated maintenance requirements? * Does the convenience justify the cost? Now that I've taken the plunge, my answer to both questions is a resounding “Yes,” as long as the batteries last for several years. This remaining uncertainty might cause you to pause; however, the batteries have a three year warranty, and it's important to note that, unlike your iPhone, you can replace Ego batteries without replacing the products. A single battery (get the largest) works with the entire line of products. This enhances the usefulness of any battery you purchase. I received discounted products, but this is my honest opinion: a decision to go with Ego tools - whether stepwise or the entire line - is money well spent.

I have a LOT of experience with numerous leaf blowers. Gas blowers are powerful, but noisy, stinky. Electrics, are pretty close now in power and capability, on and off on demand, less noise (but still noisy), no stink. Electrics are either wired, or battery - those that compare with top end gas blowers, are top end 110v wired, or Ego and Stihl make battery powered blowers that will compare with gas. This is not comparable to high end gas. BUT, the stihl blower that is comparable to gas is much more expensive and heavy. The ego that is comparable to gas is the 8000 commercial model and for any respectable battery life, it'll be super heavy on your back and is much more expensive than this. This, is a GREAT leaf blower for the price. It is not so heavy, the weight is well distributed across your back. It is well built. It participates well in Ego's ecosystem. While it won't substitute for a high end gas model, not having a wire following you means, getting around flower beds, or odd areas, or drying your car, or getting grass off the driveway after a cut, or cleaning your garage - it is PERFECT for that. It may not be okay for heavy leaves on wet grass. But that is what the 110V wired blower, gas blower, or a mower is for. Secondly, get a backpack blower. Battery + Blower can get heavy. Unless you use a blower for < 15 min at a time, trust me, you want it on your back, not on your wrist. As a bonus, this is much less noisy than an equivalent competitor model I have replaced it with.

I'm 6' 1" and 195lbs and I have no trouble wearing the harness for prolonged periods of time. However, the battery life is where the LB6000 falls slightly short. While it provides a commendable runtime with my 5.0 ah battery, users with extensive clearing needs may find themselves needing to recharge or swap batteries more frequently than desired. Investing in additional batteries could be a consideration for those with larger properties or more demanding tasks. The EGO Power+ LB6000 600 CFM Backpack Blower is a top-tier option for those seeking a powerful and environmentally friendly solution for leaf and debris removal. Its performance, ergonomic design, and quiet operation make it a standout in its class. While the battery life may require some planning for more extensive tasks, the overall benefits and efficiency of this backpack blower earn it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Simple set up.Comfortable,lightweight,quiet.Working well in dry weather.Will be interesting to see how it performs in the wetter weather.

I have owned my EGO backpack blower for about 10 months now and I could not be happier with it. It has the power to move massive amounts of material. It used to take many hours over several days to clean up my tree filled yard in the fall. This year it took half a day, and I hardly even touched a rake. This is the best yard tool that I have ever owned. You will need extra batteries if you want to run it for hours on end. The batteries from my other EGO products are swappable so I had that covered.

This battery-powered blower is the bomb! After using a 125 CFM handheld battery-powered blower for a number of years, I couldn't believe a battery blower could create such (wind) force. I also own an EGO battery-powered lawn mower, so I had a 2.5 ah battery and charger. Recommend the 5.0 ah battery if you're going to use the blower for more than 1-hour. The unit, fully assembled, is heavy but lighter (and way cleaner) than a gasoline-powered unit with similar capabilities. The harness is comfortable and the control handle is ergonomically designed to enhance directing the blower discharge. P.S. I plan to purchase a second 2.5 ah battery. Buy with confidence.

First of all, let’s just say that when you are running it at its highest possible setting it is genuinely about as good as a handheld gas blower. It does not replace a gas powered backpack blower. If you look at the design, you will see why... It’s not really a backpack blower at all. The backpack is just a battery holder... The tool end has the electric fan motor in it and is just stuck to the side of the backpack. It seems to have maybe half the pushing power of a full sized gas backpack blower. Second... The speed lever... Almost completely unnecessary... The only function you need on it is “Hi”, and “Turbo”. Turbo is a separate button that you pretty much have to press the entire time you use the blower in addition to the trigger... “Turbo” is what gives you the rates airflow. Low setting is useless... It moves considerably less air than a hairdryer and its primary function seems to be to remind you that as little power as the “hi” setting has, it could have been worse... Next... The battery... If you use their largest battery (7.2 AH) you get about 20 minutes runtime at the highest rated setting (which they call “turbo”.) That’s not a lot of runtime. This is really for use on a pretty small residential lot or you need multiple battery packs and some breaks in-between. Finally... Two get the rated airflow requires not only pressing the trigger but also contorting your thumb backwards a bit to simultaneously press “Turbo.” The tool was obviously designed to make it annoying to use it at its rated power level, I’m sure to mask the previously mentioned poor runtime... So you are relegated to having a sore thumb or to just suffer through with “hi” power which is maybe similar to using your shop vacuum with the hose attached to the discharge. It definitely moves debris, but it’s really just an interim stop to rest your thumb before you start jamming in the turbo button again.

Works really well and is very quiet for a blower. Battery lasts for over an hour. The backpack style definitely save you from getting arm cramps. Another great thing, the blower stops immediately when you release the trigger, so there is much better control than with a gas blower. If i had one minor complaint it is that there is limited mobility of the blower arm.

This wolf will huff and puff and blow your house down. I LOVE this blower. Way more power than the gas Makita gas blower it replaced and without the noise that drives the neighbors crazy.
