We got this as a costume for Halloween, but my son has been wearing it daily for a week now. It is excellent quality, with actual patches and stitching (and pockets for the animal discs). However, I do think it runs a little small. My kid is 6 years old and about 50lbs, and it fits perfectly - I feel like it may not fit a bigger 8 year old. The gloves were stiff when he first put them on, but they are really thick and FEEL like "power gloves" - I used another reviewer's suggestion to stick a rod/stick in each finger to open up the space a bit before wear, and that worked excellently. But after doing that my son had no issues with the fingers. We will likely buy the green costume next, because we liked this one so much.

My son loved it. I printed off a set of creature power disks online, laminated them, and added velcro so the boys had plenty of creature options. They played with these costumes for at least a year after wearing them for Halloween.

The other reviews are definitely correct. The gloves aren’t the easiest to put on for smaller kids and it all feels a bit flimsy. However, it functions well and the Velcro has held up so far. The vest size is perfect for my 4yr old but the gloves are huge. Still, my 4yr old LOVES it so I would 10/10 recommend purchasing if your child is into Wild Krats. If you can sew, perhaps try sewing it yourself because it would probably be better quality for the same price or cheaper.

Fits good but the glove size is too big for a 7/8 year old boy. Fun for kids.

Purchased 2 Wild Kratts Power Suits for grandsons---1 Martin suit and 1 Chris suit. Both of them were exactly as described by seller, and were shipped quickly and packaged well. The boys love them! As other reviewers have mentioned, the gloves don't fit well at all, but kids don't seem to mind that.

Ok, this is really a 2 star design, with a 5 star fun factor that evens things out to 3 stars overall. The vest - this is the best part of the whole thing. The front is well made. The colored parts are actually different color fabric stitched together. The clear plastic for the creature power is crystal clear. Having Velcro on the side and on the same sides shoulder strap is ingenious so you don’t have to try to fit the vest over a head. Now to some of the down sides - it is thick material that seems to not breathe great, and the back of the vest has rubber patches instead of the nice colored fabric on the front. It is also quite small. I do not see this fitting an 8 year old as it barely fits a 6 year old. The gloves - pretty useless. The fingers are really long, and hands don’t fit in them well. In fact, I had to use a chopstick to open the pinky finger in one glove. It was stitched shut. Fingers maybe go half way. They actually look pretty neat, but because the fingers are sooooooo long - they’re pretty pointless. My son wears one of the gloves and doesn’t wear the other because he can’t use his hands if he wears both. It’s pretty disappointing, so I might as well not have them. This looks fun, so it is. Make no mistake, this isn’t a well made set, but it also isn’t horrible. This is fun for kids to play with and pretend to use creature powers. It is kind of a must have for Wild Kratts fans like our kiddos, and while I have some problems with it, I am glad we bought it.

My 9 year old wanted this for his Halloween costume and I am sooooo not motivated to have to make him one! After reading the reviews I thought it would for sure be too small on him but i ordered it anyway since we have other kids in our family I could give it to if not. I ordered the large size and it actually fits him well. He is thin, so that helps. Just to compare he is 4’6” and weighs about 90 lbs. the best will fit him even with a heavier shirt under it. I agree the gloves are way to thick at the fingers like other reviewers have said so he can’t do much with his hands without taking them off, but he doesn’t care. I thought $35 is a little steep for just a vest and gloves and a few discs, but it seems decent quality and he is very happy with it.

My six year old has barely taken this off since Christmas. It fits him well with room to grow and has held up well through all of his playing.

My daughter loves her Martin Kratt power suit costume!! My only beef was the power disc pocket on the glove had the opening on the finger end and not the wrist end so the power disc would slide out if the glove was extended like a punch or hand thrust. Other than that, I wish we had this stuff when I was a kid!!!

Halloween costumes

I was initially hesitant based on price, but has been worth every cent - the kids are obsessed with Wild Kratts and they love re-enacting the powers. Bought for large 6yo at 4ft tall 65lbs and fits well, likely won't make it too far past 8years. velcro on one shoulder and same side chest wall allows for adjusting fit but is difficult for the kids to take on/off on own, gloves are a one size hope they fit type thing, fingers seem really skinny and long but kids haven't complained too much, pockets for creature power discs don't always keep the discs in but again, kids haven't complained much - they tend to keep the discs in the chest pocket instead of glove. overall worth the purchase and has held up to indoor and outdoor adventures.
