There are many methods of predicting sports results with astrology. Here are some that work. Journey with a student as he makes his voyage towards knowledge at the feet of a Master Astrologer. With the assistance of his pet raven and a bad-tempered yak, the Master leads him - and you - step by step through the analysis of over 60 charts, covering a wide range of sports. This detailed engagement with the practice of chart judgement is unique in astrological writing, making this book invaluable not only to sports fans, but to anyone with an interest in predictive astrology. Review: The best of the best - This book is essentially a narrative tale that presents John's style of astrological divination. He teaches us how to predict the outcomes of sporting events. Sports and the financial markets are the #1 test of an astrologer's skill because money, reputation and hundreds of years of tradition are on the line. There is no room here for "oh, you must have misunderstood me", or "how do you feel about that", or "it's time for our transformational affirmations". Within a couple of hours, you know whether or not your method is valid. When you get good, you can do long (performance) bets where the odds are astronomical, and the 'cred' is off the chart. It's not about getting rich quick, or beating the odds. It's about learning how to take astrological divination to the level of a fine art. Because of this undercurrent that weaves through the text like a golden thread, this may be one of the best astrology books I've ever read. But that's not all - the book is written as an almost Shakespearian comedy, in which a cruel master tolerates the enthusiasm of his student while teaching some real, down to earth astrology. It's really hard to appreciate a book like this unless you've struggled through the nonsense and bad translations that have caused me so many unwanted frustrations. As I've said in another review, John has upped the ante for astrological writing, and by the time his books on the fixed stars and natal astrology hit the market, certain publishers may have to redefine their writer's guidelines. I think this is a good thing, because some of them need to admit that they consider almost anything acceptable if it has a good title and something new in it, and others need to send their editors to English classes. John's clarity, focus, philosophical integrity and humor make his work stand out. He is able to present the "same 'ol stuff" in such a way that it seems fresh and exciting. His books are not so much about astrology as they are about how to be a good, reliable astrologer. After reading this book, I felt honored to be a practitioner of the same profession. If you are a new student of astrology, get this book before you have to unlearn the junk that's out there. If you are a seasoned veteran, get this book - you'll find it hard to believe that a textbook can be so enjoyable. Review: Very unique book - I have used the tactics in this book to predict the winners of sporting events and horse races. The horse races can get a little tricky, but sometimes the winner is just obvious When you Use the techniques in this book. The writing style is different, but once you adjust to that, it’s interesting How the author will answer a question you have in your mind in the next paragraph, So that is what makes it fun to read. It’s like the author is leading you to think and wonder about additional things and then he gives you the answers to those questions.

A little difficult to read
I’ll have to read this book multiple times because I found the conversation writing style difficult to follow. I wish he’d just layout the concepts and rules clearly without having to read all the extra stuff. Overall I found this book difficult to follow

Book as expected, the horary astrology methods used by Frawley to predict sporting event winners.
It covers how to look at various sporting events to ask the correct "horary" question for that particular event. Also, he explains how to ask and judge a "horary" for election of US presidents."Horary" is a unique system of asking questions and judging a chart. It includes the order of importance for rulers of 1st and 10th and 7th and 4th houses. It includes how the moon is used in these charts. Also, the things he has learned including how he disagrees with other "horary" textbook writes such as Dr.Lee Leeman. Also, he has found one modern planet, Pluto, to have an important effect on these contest charts. Interesting!

It works
I'm a Frawley student and I find his methods work more often than not. This book's method is consistent with other types of Horary and I find it easy to use and understand. I did really well when predicting win loss for baseball games I follow. And it was fun and easy to do since I have been practicing Horary for a number of years.

Creative Learning
Loving Frawley's straight forward, 'to the point' style. This book is written as a student and teacher conversation, I feel so involved, as if I am the 2nd student.

Predicting Sporting Events by a Master!
It was with great interest that I received a copy of John Frawley's new book, "Sports Astrology" published by Apprentice Books in paperback with a shocking pink cover. Given the impact of his teaching, the number of his students and the influence of his books John is clearly the leading contemporary traditional horary astrologer and I have found his previous writing to be invaluable. If I ever get stuck and need the advice, I invariably turn to John's books! "Sports Astrology" is the fruit of a great deal of thought and practical experience working with forecasting the outcome of sporting events. Much of John's sports astrology prediction was done to the highest standard of traditional astrology, which is publicly making a prediction in advance of the event, rather than the modern method of 20/20 hindsight which always seems to make spot on predictions after the events in question. John divides sports astrology into four categories: Contests: Will we win this match/series? Title fights: Will the king lose his crown? Long term forecasts: How will we fare this season? Beating the bookie: Will I profit? John then gives very specific instructions for judging each type of event along with a myriad of practical examples. What is particularly interesting about "Sports Astrology" is that it represents a new subdivision of astrology. As John explains, horary astrology is really not suited to judging most sporting events. He provides a new methodology that is nonetheless still traditional in that it springs from a solidly traditional mindset and makes use of the same basic techniques as horary, electional, natal and mundane. For any traditional astrologer interested in predicting sporting events, "Sports Astrology" is an absolute must have! Cogent, detailed and written in John's amusing and inimitable style "Sports Astrology" lays out a proven method for accurately delineating sports outcomes. It is fascinating as well as an example of innovation while still remaining firmly in the traditional mindset. I highly recommend "Sports Astrology"!
