Great mirror if it comes in one piece
Very easy to install. If you can use a phillips-head you can do it. I bought one for my 87 year old mother-in-law, who backs up without turning around. She can now see the full rear, and out the sides of both rear windows, from this rear view mirror. That, along with the beeping backup bulbs I put in last year, makes me feel better about the situation. I ordered an extra one to put in my wife's Dodge Magnum, due to the horrible blind spots from the little rear windows, and tiny-tiny factory rear view mirror. It worked beautiful. We both were very pleased. I went to my mother-in-laws house the next day to install hers and found out that one had been severely damaged in shipping. About 3 inches or so of the center of the mirror was cracked. I took the one off my wife's car to put on the mother-in-laws to await a return for refund, and subsequent replacement. I did get the refund of 1/2 my original $40 cost, which had free shipping, with no problems. When I went to order the replacement, I saw that, with the vendor's price increase, and not qualifying for free shipping with just one in the order, I would be paying almost 40% more per unit to replace the one I received broken. I sent an email directly to the vendor requesting another one for the same $20 to replace the one that arrived broken. I waited two days, with no response. So I googled for the name of the mirror manufacturer and found another site that would send just one (but I also order even another one for my truck), with free shipping, for close enough to the original $20 per unit. It arrived in one piece, in a package that was protected much better than the first two came in. It turned out to be the 13"(the picture on the site looked the same and it did not specify the inches) instead of the 17", but that size works better in the Magnum. It was a better size for my Ford Ranger as well. The difference between how good the rear view vision is between the 17" and 13" is so negligible, I think the 13" would probably be better suited for all but large, four door sedans. You will have an issue with the visors in a lot of cars, especially on the driver's side, hitting the 17" mirror when you flip them up to block the sun. I never did receive any response whatsoever from the original vendor, after almost one month, and counting.

excellent, just check the size before you buy it.
I just purchased and installed the 20/20 Vision Panoramic Rear View Mirror - 17 inches. It feels solid and well made and the mirror is crystal clear - definitely more definition than the factory mirror. Here are the things I recommend you consider before buying. 1. The 20/20 will very likely overlap with your sun visor. 2. If your head hits (or comes close to hitting) your factory rear mirror when you lean forward, then the 20/20 mirror will definitely be too close and in your way. Consider that when it is mounted atop the existing mirror it will be about 3/4 of an inch closer to you. 3. Measure your factory mirror's thickness. It is going to be dicey if it's more than 3" - 3 1/2". My factory mirror is just less than 2" and the 20/20 fit with room to spare. I mounted and tightened it in about 1 minute with a simple Phillips screw driver. On my left, my head blocks the view (I have 2004 toyota echo hatchback) so I decided to adjust the mirror for an even fuller view on the right side. I compensated for the left side blindspot (which was actually reduced a bit by the 20/20) by adjusting my car's left side mirror. It picks up where the 20/20 falls short. By positioning my side mirrors strategically, I have zero blind spots. With side mirrors adjusted like this, you have to lean over to see the curb when you are parallel parking. For me, it's worth it and lovely to drive with such awesome vision behind and around my car. I was driving at dusk tonight in the rain and didn't notice any glare from the cars behind me. I am happy I bought this thing, despite the more negative reviews. I think many of those people failed to measure their factory mirrors before purchasing the 20/20. Good luck!

Good mirror, not quite great.
Very useful item. Doesn't fit my mirror especially well ('04 Sprinter Van). If your mirror vibrates at all, you'll probably notice it all the more with this mirror. The fastening arrangement to the mirror could be better, which is why it's not a 5 star item. The functionality and concept, and mirror itself are great. The mirror is HUGE, which depending on the vehicle might be good, might not. The field of vision is superior, and it makes driving easier, basically eliminating blind spots. There is no day/night function, but bright lights become less irritating due to the convex mirror, so the result is that you don't really need a day/night feature.

Breaks Easily Not Universal by a long shot
It looks like it would be easy enough to install. But if you have a vehicle with any kind of electronics in the rearview mirror, most do since around the early 2000s, it will not fit. The mirror will be too thick to mount on. Mounting requires an old school thin just plan old rearview mirror. The glass is so VERY FRAGILE, we ordered first one and it was sitting in the back seat waiting for me to get it done. I took it out of the box and it had broken. I took the blame assuming I, wife or kids had thrown something heavy on it. So I bought a second one. After trying to install it I put it back in the box to return it. It sat on the counter in the kitchen. Before processing the return, I opened it and double checked the packaging. Suprise, broken in the exact same place. Maybe a design flaw, not sure, but I would not by another.

Lots of vibration, not suited for hot weather climates
I own a Toyota Prius, and while I'm pretty happy with it overall, my biggest problem with it has been the huge blind spots caused by its unique rear end design. So I bought this to hopefully alleviate that problem. The mirror is very large. It captures both blind spots at the same time, as well as a clear view of the kids in the back seat. So it's very successful in eliminating that problem. Installation was easy enough. The mirror comes with a metal clamp that holds the existing mirror on knew side and the new mirror on the other. Pretty straightforward and installed quickly. Now for the bad. It takes some getting used to, looking up at the mirror and seeing the convex effect. My eyes took a second or two to adjust. That's OK, and to be expected. The problem is that the mirror "bounces" and moves quite a bit while driving. Trying to deal with all the shaking and also adjusting to the convex appearance at the same time may make your eyes go a little crazy. It did to me. But I got used to it, and decided it was still better than the alternative. And then it got hot. I got in the car on one particularly hot day and drove off like normal. I hit a bump and lo and behold, the mirror promptly tilted down towards the floor! Turns out on hot days, the hinge on the existing mirror heats up and expands. In so doing, it no longer can handle the extra weight of the second mirror and let's go. It wasn't until I was several miles down the road, when the AC had finally cooled everything off, that the mirror would finally rotate up and stay put. I suppose the Prius OEM mirror is smaller than full size cars, suv's, and pickups, so maybe those cars mirrors can handle it. But I took mine off until the heat of the summer abates. Now, I'm giving it three stars because the problems with the mirror are directly related to the existing mirror and it's hinge. Some cars may handle this mirror better than mine, But overall, not a great purchase for me. I'm going to investigate some more and see if I come up with a better solution.

Excellent for Freeways
I got this mirror three months ago for my pickup because I was starting to do a lot of freeway driving. I like to know what all the traffic on all sides of me is doing, and with the standard issue mirrors I had to keep in mind vehicles that were lurking in the two blind spots. With this mirror I can see the whole picture with out moving my head. I has greatly reduced the stress of long trips by freeway. The anti-glare coatings actually work. Downsides are that the curvature of the mirror distorts distances; but most cars have side mirrors that are curved, and the mind adjusts. It took about a month for me to stop thinking about the distortion of this mirror; the adjustment had become automatic. Another downside is the size of the mirror; it sometimes blocks view of a freeway sign, or even traffic in hilly spots such as San Francisco. Another downside is that it is easy to knock it off its grip on the regular mirror, but that is not something that would happen while driving unless your are doing yoga while driving, which is not a good idea anyhow.... Bottom line, I love this mirror; I never realized how much stress that standard mirror setup was adding to my driving.

Excellent. get you one of these.
Great mirror. Check your current mirror to see how thick and if it has ridge for the mirror bracket to grip onto. I have one of these in each or our suvs and truck. Family loves them since it enables you to see blindspots. optically correct mirror. Once installed, do not grip the new mirror to adjust, but grip the old one and adjust. This will prevent the mirror from coming loose. This mirror will cover any backup camera or other buttons on mirror making those features not functional. Since my windows are tinted, I like the fact it covers the old auto dimming mirror so items are now brighter at night in mirror. Another caution is it may interfer with sun visor. If you want to check before buying cut out 17inch x3 inch cardboard and place on your mirror so it hovers out an inch from the mirror to account for the bracket distance. Most likely it may just conflict with passenger sun visor. I have used this type of mirror for almost 20 years and it has saved me from so many accidents. A little on pricey side but worth it.

It takes some time to adjust (since objects are closer than you think) but once you do it is super handy. The mirror is clear an
I bought my first panoramic view mirror back in 1988, it was a necessity for me since I am blind on the right eye. For many years I had switched the panoramic mirror from car to car, even installing them on my wife car. She just bought a new car and she asked for a panoramic mirror. The reason we use the panoramic mirror is simple; when you look up at the mirror you see everything at both sides of the car and the back. There is no need to be looking at both door mirrors; and there are no blind spots. It takes some time to adjust (since objects are closer than you think) but once you do it is super handy. The mirror is clear and mounted in a hard plastic base that is attached to you car rearview mirror via an adjustable metal clamp. The clamp has phillips head screws that you tighten for the clamp to tightly attach to your rearview mirror. Holds tight and secure. I am a buyer and also a reviewer of products. I provide my critical opinion on many products. I put forth my best effort in providing an accurate description, and an honest opinion; after my family or I use the product. BEWARE RUBBISH ITEM
the mirror does not have a clip on it. there is a bit of bent metal with a dull cheap. bit of paint with odd bits of rust it looks cheap and it is. it has two lose screws which you have to try and fit upside down in your car. the clips are not long enough to go over the mirror in your car. I thought that I was getting the best by speeding so much money and it would be the best. Wrong there are lot better one's get one with the clips on the back of the mirror. hope this helps as I don't what other people to have the same experience.
