It&;s the classic, world&;s bestselling paper airplane book, grounded in the aerodynamics of paper and abounding with fun. The World Record Paper Airplane Book raises paper airplane making to a unique, unexpected art. This new edition boasts four brand-new models: Stiletto , Spitfire , Galactica , and Sting Ray . Added to its hangar of proven fliers&;including Valkyrie , Hammerhead , Vortex , Condor , Pterodactyl , and, of course, the famous World Record Paper Airplane &;that makes twenty airworthy designs. Each is swathed in all-new, attention-grabbing graphics and is ready to tear out, fold, and fly. There are at least five models for each design and all-important instructions for how to adjust and throw each plane for best flight. But the planes are just the beginning. The book features tons of cool information on aerodynamics, competitions, and designing your own high-performing models. Readers will learn why paper airplanes fly (and why they crash), the history of Ken Blackburn&;s world record, and how to organize and win contests. Also included is a flight log and pull-out runway for practicing accuracy. Review: Grew up with this book, gave it to my niece - I had this book when I was a kid and I gave it to my niece. Same airplanes and same quality paper and colorful planes as I remembered. It's a great collection of designs with a wide range of difficulties, from dead easy to something an adult would need to reasonably concentrate to fold and cut. Review: Boys ages 7 and 10 love this - Two sons between the ages of 6 and 10 love this. Spend a lot of time making and playing with them on their own and with each other. Great find!

Great book. Nice information and easy to follow directions
We've purchased a number of paper airplane books, and this is by far our favorite. If you are interested in the basics of how planes fly, it has a brief introduction. Then it has a section that talks about the different paper models. Some of them are inspired on historic airplanes, and the authors give little pieces of trivia on those. For each plane they also explain how the plane will fly, the best way to throw them, and adjustments to make if the plane doesn't fly as expected. The last section includes colorful paper, with cool designs. There are several copies of each airplane (so perfect for a small group of kids), and the instructions are clear to follow by anyone 6 years and up (maybe even younger). They are simple - most only need folding - and fun to fly. Highly recommended for hours of fun and educational value.

Amazing Paper Airplanes
My 6 year old considers himself a paper airplane making expert so he was very excited to get this book. Pros: 1. Exciting, colorful paper airplanes (if you can manage to make them). 2. Directions are clear and easy enough for my 6 year old to follow. Cons: 1. Some of the perforated edges cut into the design destroying the plane before you even try to remove the paper from the book. 2. It's nearly impossible to remove the pages from the book without ripping (and thus destroying) the paper airplane before you even start. Part of this is due to Con #1 (stated above) and part of it is due to the poor function of the perforated edges. 3. In some of the designs, the lines on the front of the design do not match the lines on the back of the design. So, there is some guesswork required in figuring out where to fold and cut. Of note: 1. There are 20 different designs for you to make with a few copies of each design. This comes in handy when you rip a tiny piece of the page while carefully trying to remove it from the book. (See Con #2). 2. The Cons are not deal breakers. I still recommend this book. Just be prepared to be very frustrated.

This book is really well written and simple. It explains basic paper plane aerodynamics and comes with all the necessary materials to make 20 different plane models. This is honestly such a great gift idea for a young child and probably any adult who likes these sorts of activities. I bought this who my boyfriend who is trying to become a pilot. I thought this would be a fun date activity to do together. I remember building paper planes in a few of my science classes in high school, so building a few together is a bit nostalgic for me. I bought this in conjunction with the PowerUp 3.0 smartphone Controlled Paper airplane. I'm not sure yet if the plane templates will work together but I'll give it a shot in a couple of weeks when I give it to him. I haven't built any planes yet, but it really doesn't look complicated. They have step-by-step fold instructions and all the folds are labeled by numbers. I also like that the paper included is thicker than your traditional copy paper and it's printed with cool designs on both sides.

I haven’t had luck getting these to fly so far
I have 3 paper airplane books and have made several from each. From this one, none of the 5 I have made fly well at all. The marks don’t seem to always line up either. They look cool but I’m sorry to say so far I have been kind of disappointed, compared to the other two books where most fly quite well.

wonderful
I bought this book for my son's 8th birthday, as we love making and adapting paper airplanes. It has 20 designs you can make with the special paper included. They also fly well made from ordinary paper. Some designs you think will never work, but what wonderful surprises you get. The instructions are clear, and there is essential advice on flight adjustment by putting elevators and rudders on your planes. It is an easy to read book packed full of enthusiasm. A wonderful thing to share with your children. Easily worth the money.

Did not enjoy it
Cet avion semble être fort, mais nul, on fait les pliage parfaitement, mais ils sont quand même nuls, ça mérite zéro étoile ou une
