Done right.
87 degrees here in Arizona. When I opened the box and took out the cheese it was still cold! Great packaging. Cheese tastes delicious! VERY satisfied.

READ THIS REVIEW
Until I had this specific Provolone, the only Provolone I ever ate came as slices on sandwiches. So my only opinion about Provolone, was that it was mild and pleasant. Then I cut a chunk from of Auricchio Stravecchi Provolone. WHOA... This was nothing like any Provolone I had ever eaten. This Provolone is STRONG, well at least it is strong for me. I can't say I really enjoyed eating it by the chunk whatsoever. However, my finicky cat definitely liked it. So I was rather disappointed, and I wasn't sure what to do with the remaining block of cheese. Then it occurred to me to shred it, and add it to other dishes to mellow out the flavor. I sure am glad I did. I was blown away! Auricchio Stravecchio Provolone takes my pasta dishes to a whole new level. In my opinion, Auricchio Stravecchio Provolone is WAY better on pasta dishes than even 4 year aged Parmigiano Reggiano. Simply Delicious! I hope that this review inspires fellow Amazon customers to try this cheese. If you like Provolone, then try Auricchio Stravecchio Provolone. If you don't you will be missing out on a truly fabulous cheese to add to pasta dishes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I like sharp cheese but

Picante Provolone Yummy!!
We have moved into a rural community with very limited specialty foods. Can't find any provolone except the bland sandwich type. Coming from South Philly, we like REAL IMPORTED ITALIAN PROVOLONE. So we order it often in a two pound chunk. It comes cold packaged and we freeze half of it. It freezes well without drying out. This cheese is picante. Strong and flavorful. Yummy!!
