A fantastic way to get into Full Frame without breaking the bank!
Finally, after waiting almost 20 years to jump into Full Frame, I elected to pull the trigger on the Canon RP. I've been shooting with various Micro 4/3, Fujifilm, and Canon EOS gear - love them all. But as I mentioned, I was always intrigued by Full Frame, but due top the high costs and size involved with that system, I deferred. After seeing the great deal for the RP and the 24-105 kit lens, I knew that this was the time. OK - right off the bat, the RP is a wonderful camera - well-built, yet very light and smallish. It's a delight to hold in the hand, and you have a variety of options. Now keep in mind, my style of photography involves scenic, architectural, portraits, and landscapes - all of which this RP handles quite well. If you're a fast moving sports enthusiast, or a birds-in-flight aficionado, then forget about this camera. I ordered mine with the RF 24-105 kit lens (not the L version) as part of a package deal and considering the cost vs performance ratio, this is a superb package price for the kit. The kit lens is fairly good, but like most kit lenses (but not all), the edges are a bit soft and fuzzy. You can get around some of that by setting the camera to an aperture of 8 and above. The center areas are quite sharp. The 24-105 MM range is superb and should endear itself to most photographers. I'd like to start saving for the F4L version of this lens to provide greater clarity across the frame - but in the meantime, this kit lens is really ideal. So overall, considering the price of this kid, the fact that it's full frame, includes a nice kit lens that would cost $400 separately, you can't go wrong here.

The perfect balance of beautiful video and beautiful photos
I previously had a Canon T3i and I absolutely loved that thing. It was amazing the results that camera could do for its time and I will always think it's one of the best budget cameras ever made. However, I've recently gotten more into video and that is one thing the T3i wasn't meeting my needs for. It was missing so many features like autofocus and modern video resolutions and frame rates. Therefore, my search for a new camera began. I seriously debated nearly every camera in this price range from every manufacturer. Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, you name it. However, it seemed like they all had one fatal flaw to them. Sony with their weird coloring, Fujifilm with the overheating issues, Panasonic with the awful autofocus. Some were better at photos, some were better at video. However, I needed something that would do great with both, as I wanted this to be something I could shoot professional portraits with but also shoot vlogs. At the end of the day, all signs pointed to this camera, and I'm so glad this is the one I chose. I'm not a super-advanced user, however, I do think I've moved past the beginner stage of photography and videography. I think this camera really fits me perfectly as I'm not incredibly overwhelmed with options and features that I don't know how to use, but it still has a ton of capability that allows me to learn more about photography and videography. I've also just been using the 24-105 kit lens that comes with this bundle on Amazon. The video on this is amazing. HUGE step up from the T3i. The face detecting autofocus works great and nearly all of my shots are perfectly in focus unless it's super dark which it has a little more of a struggle with but obviously any camera would. I was a little hesitant about the fairly disabled 4k capability with this camera due (disabled dual pixel AF, crop factor, 30 min time limit, 24 fps max) especially since other cameras in the price range have a more robust 4k capability. However, I've found that 1080p meets my needs just fine and looks absolutely gorgeous. It's also much more friendly on the file size and processing in video editing. The photo capability has shocked me even more than the video. I knew this would obviously be a great camera for photos, but I didn't realize what a step up from my T3i it would be. I honestly thought my T3i photos would look just about as good as this camera since the T3i does admittedly take amazing photos. However, this blows it out of the water. The autofocus on this is SO much better. With the T3i, fast moving subjects were nearly impossible to get in focus. This does so much better. The full-frame sensor on this camera makes a huge difference too. The low light performance is so much better and the size of these photos is insane. You can zoom in to the photos so much and it's still amazingly clear. As for the body of the camera itself, it feels incredibly well made. Grabbing my T3i now feels like a cheap plastic toy compared to this thing. It feels very solid and durable. The grip on the camera is incredibly easy and comfortable to hold. The only negative thing I've encountered so far is the kit lens that comes with this bundle doesn't have a physical switch between autofocus and manual focus. You have to go into the camera settings to switch between them. I don't find myself doing this very often as the autofocus is amazing but when I do need manual focus it's a little bit of an inconvenience. Overall, it's an amazing camera and I'm very happy that I went with this one.

great camera and would buy again.
i had been using a sony a6300 previously and it was really a great camera decided to try the full frame cameras and still liked the mirrorless idea, more lens options etc, the RP seemed to be what i was looking for, i don't do video per se, camera turns out some very nice photos, reminds me of my old 35mm days with much more fine detail of course. i was impressed with it and seemed to see more depth in the photos than i would normally see in the a6300 maybe a full frame lens thing. it has all the settings a non pro occasional photographer would need. af seems more than fast enough and that's comparing to the a6300 that was pretty fast. battery life seems good despite what others may say, certainly not a pain to carry a extra couple batteries i have only had to do one battery change in the field with it and that was because i started with a half charged battery. i like shooting manual lenses and it will shoot those just fine with an adapter and in manual or aperture modes. ie you set the aperture and focus using the focus aid and the camera does the iso and shutter speed in A works well and adds a dimension to the hobby that you may not get with full frame dslr cameras. great camera and would buy again.

Battery is fine. Get third party 3 pack for $35 for photoshots.
If you own a Canon t7 or a Nikon d3500 it is definitely an upgrade. The electronic viewfinder is amazing, the flip screen is so helpful. All my canon DSLR accessories are compatible with this mirrorless camera (might be different for yours). The ISO is very high little to no grain. The menu is great and simple. Definitely get a lens with Image stabilizer unless you use tripod in low light. Great entry level proffesional camera. Full frame is why you are looking at this camera, worth every penny. Manual is a must to learn, but if you are looking at a camera like this is because you know how to use it or at least want to learn it. Also battery is not that bad. One single extra oem canon battery as backup will be fine. I was out with the camera on taking pictures for about 3 hours and the battery was still full. I think people talk about it so much that without actually trying it for themselves they just copy and paste reviews. Battery is just fine.

Compact Full-Frame Powerhouse – Perfect for Travel & Content Creation
This camera is one of the best entry-level full-frame options out there. The durability feels solid for a lightweight body, making it great for travel and everyday use. It’s compact but still gives you that premium Canon feel.best battery life. And it worth for every penny. Fast in visual The quality of images is outstanding thanks to the full-frame sensor—sharp details, great low-light performance, and beautiful colors. The RF 24-105mm lens adds flexibility, covering everything from wide shots to portraits, making it an all-in-one solution for most situations. In terms of comfort, the grip is very ergonomic and easy to hold even during long shoots. The camera is light, which makes it ideal for vlogging and handheld shooting. The adjustability is excellent—you get manual controls, touchscreen interface, and customizable settings, which makes it beginner-friendly but still powerful for advanced users. The overall compatibility is a big advantage. It supports Canon RF lenses and can also use EF/EF-S lenses with an adapter, giving you a huge ecosystem to grow into. Finally, the sturdiness is impressive for its size. It handles regular use well and pairs nicely with gimbals and lightweight rigs.

Great camera
Did my research as a hobbyist photographer and found this to be the best full-frame mirrorless camera for the price. There are better, but the prices are greater, even for brands that are normally cheaper. The other brands have the edge on DSLR (for now) and the market is changing to mirrorless fast, but for now, I am happy with what I have. I had a Sony NEX-7 before this and it was great, too. This one has the features I was looking for: AEB, HDR, image stabilization, durability, full-frame sensor, mirrorless, flip out TOUCHscreen, etc. It has caught great vibrant picture on our trip to Colorado and my local adventures beautifully. I do find the "MENU" button and on/off switch on the left to be inconvenient, but I suppose you cannot put everything on the right. It is already cluttered on the right. I would have put the "INFO" button on the left instead, but that's me. I am in that menu a lot.
