Easy, Gorgeous Color Refresh with Minimal Effort
I tried the Keracolor Color + Clenditioner in Merlot because I knew I’d need something to maintain my hair color between salon visits. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how well this works—it leaves my color vibrant and refreshed without the hassle of a full dye. A few tips: some reviews mention it can get messy, and that’s true—it’s very pigmented, so handle it like you would a traditional box dye. I always use gloves, a brush applicator, and am very careful while rinsing to avoid stains. That small caution is worth it for the results. What I love: -Smells great and isn’t overpowering -Makes my hair soft and smooth -Deposits color evenly with minimal effort -Keeps my hair color looking fresh between salon visits (saving so much money) Overall, this product is perfect for anyone looking for a semi-permanent color boost at home. It’s easy to use, effective, and the results make it worth a little extra care during application. I’d definitely repurchase.

Works well for what I need!
Love this Clenditioner! I was trying to find a way to spruce up on my color without damaging my hair or having to full out dye it frequently - and I think i found the secret! One thing I appreciated is that it’s very easy to apply and doesn’t make a big mess in the shower like some color products can. It rinses clean and I haven’t noticed staining on my hands or shower surfaces. The color is subtle but still rich, which I actually prefer because it looks more natural rather than overly intense. It also works well as a conditioner on its own — my hair feels smooth and manageable after using it, not dry or coated. For anyone trying to maintain or slightly enhance their existing hair color, this is a really convenient option. One bottle can last awhile, unlike actual dye which are one-time use. Overall I’m very happy with it and will definitely keep using it.

Good alternative to permanent dye for me and my graying hair
My graying hair is very very gray in the front, but mostly very dark on the rest of the head. Regrowth is SUPER noticeable after permanent dye. My stylist said we can "just add some platinum highlights and it will blend right in".... holy 2002, batman! My hair is very dark brown, almost black, and the upkeep on platinum highlights is, frankly, way beyond my price point, in addition to not being a look I aspire to. This espresso color is a very dark, cool brown, so I mix 2-3 pumps of this with 1 pump of the auburn color, and get a nice neutral brown tint on my silver strands that blends into my natural color and looks a bit like balayage as it fades. Note: I am not using this as directed. Just putting this on in the shower would be a slow process and not catch all my roots, so about once a week I glob this on DRY hair, wrap my head in plastic, cover it with a bonnet and putter around for 3 hours before rinsing. Does it need to be 3 hours? I dunno. I literally pulled that time from nowhere and it works so I kept doing it. Is it messy? Ummm....in comparison to what happens when i use permanent dye at home, no. Otherwise...I think it depends on how clumsy you are. I am VERY clumsy, so I do have to clean stains from my skin and the bathroom sink, but soap and water take it off skin and a bathroom cleaner with bleach takes it off the sink. I try to shampoo twice a week or less, I use As I Am cleansing conditioner or Tap Secret powder dry shampoo on the non wash days. Both are holy grail products for me. Is all this a very complicated way of avoiding ammonia fumes and damage from constant permanent dying and/or bleaching? Of course! Does everyone have three hours a week to spend with their head wrapped in plastic? I'm guessing probably not. Will the process of eventually going completely gray be INFINITELY less traumatic than if I was growing out gray roots under permanent dye? Why yes, thank you for asking. If I don't refresh the color, it slowly fades away until the full lengths of my silver strands are silver again. No damage, no elaborate, expensive mix of highlights and lowlights, just time.

It will stain everything you love.
I've been using this product for a couple of years now. I've always used either red or brown tones on medium brown hair - the color was decent (just a slight tint on darker hair), it was easy to use, and didn't stain my nails or shower. I just purchased teal for the first time, and it's been a totally different experience. The color itself is a bit patchy, but alright. I bleached my hair to white-blonde before applying, and it took well to most of my hair. The roots are having a hard time keeping the color (despite being bleached just as much as the rest of my hair), but I've only done two applications, so I'm hopeful it will continue to provide more coverage. However, this stuff is a mess. The first time I applied it, I used it like regular conditioner, which always worked fine for the warmer tones. But, it quickly dyed my nails, hands, shoulders, and shower. Everything it touched instantly turned blue. And it didn't just wipe off like the other colors I've used - my shower and nails are both permanently stained. I found that Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes do a decent job of getting it off of skin, but nothing gets rid of it completely (the second photo was taken after scrubbing my hands several times, then using a dozen of those wipes). I now know that I have to wear gloves while applying, sit on the floor of the shower to minimize splatter, and be VERY careful. I took these precautions during the second application, and everything worked out fine. But, I wanted to be sure to share my experience to hopefully prevent others from living in that old Eiffel 65 song like I now do. **EDITED TO ADD: After several applications, the color is quite pretty. It's super convenient to be able to just use the conditioner when the color starts to fade, rather than having to go through the process of dying it (just don't forget to use gloves!). The shade differs depending on how many applications you do, and the teal is really only "teal" with one or two applications - after that, it becomes very blue, but will fade back to teal after a few washes. Overall, I really do like this product and will continue using it. I'm sticking with 3 stars because 1.) It stains EVERYTHING, and 2.) The color just isn't consistent (looks different after each application, appears different shades in different lighting, etc.).

My new obsession , when I need to put some gold back in my platinum hair
I Was a little worried at first to try anything on my platinum blonde hair, But I just wanted to have subtle gold tones put back into it. I did not see any directions on the bottle itself , but I figured it was pretty self explanatory that it would be used like a conditioner. So I did just that I shampooed my hair squeezed the water out and then I used this product. I kept an eye out on my hair to make sure it wasn't going to be super dark or be too drastic or fake looking. I left it on probably no more than 3 minutes, just because I have a fear of things looking terrible. And after washing it out, I absolutely loved it. The color does not look fake, like some of the conditioners that I've used before. This is the honey color but does look like a beige out of the bottle not gold ,I was almost worried. It was gonna have too much of that beige color just from the looks of the conditioner itself, but it really did give my hair some gold tones, which I was excited for. And I didn't have to put any product on my hair as I don't bleach it or anything.I am just a natural blonde, but with swimming and the Sun, my hair becomes pretty white. So this gives me back a little bit of that gold tone that I want without damaging my hair at all.I love it and the best part is it's not one full solid color it's not like you're going to be putting paint on your hair, and it's going to just come out 1 color I have some golder tones, I have some lighter tones, it's perfect and why it still looks natural . The first 2 pictures are after the one with my cat and dog was before sorry I dont take pics of myself but I had to share this cause its a great product

Caused Allergic Swelling + Zero Gray Coverage = Worst of Both Worlds
I rarely leave reviews, but after my experience with Keracolor Color + Clenditioner, I felt compelled to share a detailed warning. I have a history of reactions to most hair dyes and color products. Many succeed at coloring my hair but trigger allergic responses. Gentler options like pure hennas often cause no reaction but fail to deliver meaningful color or gray coverage. I hoped Keracolor — marketed as a gentle, conditioning color-depositing treatment — would be a safe middle ground. Unfortunately, it was the opposite. What happened: I applied the product to wet hair, lathered it in, left it on for the full 20 minutes as directed, rinsed thoroughly, and followed with baby shampoo. Within a short time, I experienced noticeable swelling in my cheeks, scalp, and lips. The reaction was uncomfortable enough that I immediately took an antihistamine. The swelling eventually subsided, but it was alarming and completely unexpected from a "clenditioner" type product. On top of the reaction, it provided zero improvement in gray coverage. My hair looked exactly the same afterward — the same amount of gray remained, with no visible toning or deposit. To make matters worse, my hair felt noticeably drier and more brittle than before, despite the product's heavy conditioning claims and added oils (like coconut, shea, and keratin). This was truly the worst combination: an allergic reaction + no results + added dryness. I threw the bottle straight in the trash. For context, I’ve found only one product that consistently works well for me: Naturtint Permanent Hair Color. It delivers excellent, lasting gray coverage while causing no allergic reaction in my experience. It’s the sole exception I’ve found after trying many options over the years. If you have sensitive skin, a history of reactions to hair products, or significant gray hair you actually want to cover, I strongly recommend skipping Keracolor. Always do a patch test with any new product, even those labeled as gentle. There are better alternatives out there for people like me.

Definitely worth the money especially between coloring!
Love this stuff!! My hair is red and this gives it such a refresh between coloring. Hair is soft and silky like I just got it done after using it too!

Espresso-Dark- Use gloves in shower- Effective and fast- pleasant scent-Updated-easy
I have long hair that goes to the middle of my back. I am familiar with a variety of shampoo and conditioners that deposit color into the hair. My aim in using the conditioner by Keracolor was to predominately rely on a combination of color depositing shampoo and conditioners and touch-up products for my hair coloring needs. I find that in-shower color products are incredibly useful and time-saving. I have used henna products and like how healthy it makes my hair but the process is longer. I am wishing to avoid stronger chemicals on my hair and was looking for something nourishing and also easier to fit into a continuous routine. I used this with my hands first use and even when washing immediately after, I learned I prefer gloves to avoid staining my fingers. On the second occasion, I washed my hair and put it in with gloves on for around 20 minutes. My hair is now very dark from the espresso color. It does seem to work to cover gray but I need more time to establish impressions on this. I am very happy with it and will likely order honey or mocha when I am finished. A very little goes a long way and I am able to use it just as I would a conditioner. It is not as nourishing as a deep conditioner but does not strip my hair and I use a conditioner on top of it for a few minutes before I rinse. So far, I think it is worth considering if you see a color you like. Update=The espresso blends grays but does not cover grays as a hair color would. I am going to continue to use this product and also try a lighter shade like honey that is more of my natural color. My hair is healthier than it has been in a long time and it does work as described.

My hairdresser recommended this!
My professional hairdresser said “I don’t normally recommend store-bought hair products, but I recommend this one.’’ I use it like conditioner and leave it in my hair 5-15 mins once a week. It leaves my hair shiny and gives the colour a vibrant boost between hair colouring appts.
