Fine weave oil primed linen that is excellent for oil painting. It has enough tooth that the paint transfers easily but smooth enough for fine detail. I really love working on this surface. The board is stiff enough for relatively large canvases.

As an artist I paint on many types of surfaces. This oil primed linen is my favourite. Wish it was cheaper.

great texture for working in thinned and thick oils. Even with thin application does not show texture much, allows for fine details. Colors do not sink in like with gesso. as a drawback of using this ground- drying time is a bit longer unless a siccative or alkyd drier is used
