Mission: Her Shield (Team 52 Book 7)

This book had a he'll of an adventure following the characters around. No matter the trial, love bloomed. Loved this book.

Once again Anna Hackett has combined the perfect amount of history, passionate romance and high octane adventure in one fabulous book. Almost each member of team 52 has met their match and now it's Axel and Nat's turn. Their attraction and been simmering in previous books but boils over in "Her Shield". Axel is ex Delta Force who has seen and done things that he's not proud of. He believes he's too broken inside and doesn't deserve love. Nat is a gorgeous, intelligent, sassy amazing Archaeologist. She been with team 52 since the beginning. This is the one place she feels she belongs with people who have become her friends and her family. In this adventure Greek mythology comes to life with the Minotaur, a labyrinth and lots and lots of evil enemies and plenty of puzzles to solve. It's a fast paced delicious treat that will leave you breathless and wanting more. The ending also gives you a teaser for Jonah and if you're a fan of the series you know who I'm referring to and his book looks like it's going to be a wild ride. Thank you so much Anna Hackett for providing fabulous entertainment that chases the blues away and make quarantine a little less stifling . I highly recommend this for your reading enjoyment.

This series is amusingly reminding me of an adult-themed Scooby Doo series with military badasses, which made me laugh when I realized it at the beginning of the series. Blair is still the ultimate character with the best story, and this one was pretty decent. A bit dramatic but I really felt for the Minotaur. Nat and Axel I didn’t necessarily love as characters but they were fine.

Will he be able to let her go now she is in danger ... I know, I know, I have still a few arcs to read before next week, but some authors are on my must-read-absolutely list, and four have a release this week, always a nightmare for me when I am running after my due-reviews. I am never late but still. After a break in the historical romance world for a fun action packed read is always welcome, it rejuvenates my brain. It has been since the beginning of this series that I have seen the built between Nathalie and Axel. And witnessing Axel hurting her with his many meaningless hookups. But now she is in danger, he is like a wolf on a hunt, only one thing counts, rescuing her. Each bears its own scars, she to never have someone to stay for her and he to fear his past might be too much to handle. And he beats himself to stay away from her, she instead decides that enough is enough and she will prove him, she is whom he very much needs in his life. Nathalie even if she is no Wonder Woman, she is no weak intellectual, she is able to think and fight even when endangered. She enters the battlefield with her mind in full motion, looking for any clue or way to help her team win. Axel is still reliving his worst nightmares, they are those making him keep at bay Nathalie as he does not trust her to be able to accept who he was and what he had done. Without surprise Mrs Anna Hackett offers a story full of actions, steam and one hell of a couple. 4.5 stars

So, a typical Anna Hackett story! Axel is chomping at the bits because Team 52's archaeologist, Nat, has run into major trouble during a conference in Greece. He wants her, but doesn't think he is good enough for her. There is a lot of action in here, but it is also filled with complex characters. This makes for a fast paced, intense story with an action oriented storyline and some really steamy scenes. The characters are vibrant and kickass, as expected! I can't wait to see what happens next. Unfortunately, that's not until the end of 2020! Read these in order. To get the full picture, read Treasure Hunter Security series before all these. Enjoy!

Thrilling and packed full intense action and edge-of-your-seat events, this book also managed to have more than its fair share of hilarious one-liners and humorous scenes. I was captivated from page one, and not just because Axel and Nat have been dancing around each other for several books. This story starts with a bang and continues on at full speed with heart warming moments and sexy romance being just as hard hitting as the adventure! I REALLY enjoyed the archaeological bits and the new take on Minoan myth. I so completely recommend this book for a practically unending list of reasons!! It can be read as a stand alone, but I do suggest reading the other books in the series first, though, for maximum emotional impact. Dive on in, you wont be sorry for a moment!

This story was not one of my favorites. The overall premise was good but there were too many unexplained things happening. It just didn't work for me. The characters are the reason I continue. The narration was excellent.

Team 52 book 7. Reads like a splendid movie. Axel and Dr. Natalie. An awesome pair that have been circling each other for some time. Axel is battle ready at all times. He may be hot and charming but he also got some heavy PTSD going on. Because of that he continually denies his feelings for Dr. Nat. Dr.Nat loves history and has a brain that doesn't stop. While at a conference, some crazy ish on level 10 happens and she along with others get kidnapped. The team gears up to rescue and Axel must confront his trauma. Dr. Nat is strong and stubborn for the both of them and will battle for her man. High twists, turns, angst, drama, smexy and plenty of WTF.

Axel & Nat have been denying their attraction for too long, but when Nat goes to a conference by herself and she is taken just after getting out a mixed up message to her team, Axel almost loses his mind until he can actually hold her. Later it turns out there's another group of bad guys with their own agenda. Nats team are all in as they search for her. Highly Recommend both This Book and This Author.

Team 52 is heading for Greece. I liked Axel and Nat. As usual in this series, lots of action, chases, fights and mysterie. But also lots of sweet romance. If you enjoyed the series so far, you will enjoy this as well.

Ich habe mich mega auf die Geschichte mit Axel und Nat gefreut, da es schon in all den anderen Geschichten immer wieder zwischen den beiden geknistert hat und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Es würde herzzerreissend, humorvoll, prickeln und sehr leidenschaftlich. Empfehle ich gern weiter. Viel Spaß damit!

Another great action with Team 52, this time, taking on Greece and London destination. Each adventure Team 52 takes chasing artifacts and bad people the description is so intense you can picture yourself being there. Happy to know that Natalie and Axel found their own personal love in the midst of this chase across Europe. Natalie never had love from her parents but she was happy to give it to Axel, who was fearful of getting too close Nat as he felt unclean to be close to her. But she was persistent with her not taking him pushing her away. Great story of not giving up and taking risks.

Yet again another amazing book from Anna Hackett! I know I have been waiting from book 1 to find out about Axel and Nat. Their story was well worth the wait!
