Ironton 4-Tier Industrial Steel Shelving Unit, 8,000-Pound Load Capacity, Garage Storage Rack, 77" W x 24" D x 72" H

I recently picked up the Ironton Industrial Shelving Rack, and I’m honestly impressed. I needed something solid for my garage to hold tools, storage bins, and some heavier equipment, and this rack handled everything like a champ. The shelves feel sturdy, nothing wobbles, and once it was put together, it felt like it could survive an earthquake. If you need dependable storage that can actually handle weight and not sag or shake, this one’s worth it. I’d definitely buy it again and honestly might, because my garage suddenly looks organized for once. Highly recommend for garages, workshops, basements, or anyone tired of shelves that can’t handle the load.

I bought 2 of these for a storage room and they are great. Nice and sturdy. I am thinking of buying 1 or 2 more. Went to together pretty easy, no parts were missing, sturdy, looks great. I recommend these.

Great shelf, especially for the price point.

Purchased a shelf before arrived with a banged up box but, the shelf was great and was super easy to put together by myself. So I ordered 2 more. Both arrived in actually not damaged boxes and Both units were damaged so bad I couldn't even make one shelf out of the 2 boxes...dissapointed at least I was able to return them. Just wanted replacements but, will go with a different brand.

I needed to do a little drilling on this to get bolts through cross pieces. The wire shelves are not quite as strong as other units i have worked with. Otherwise very sturdy overall

Wow - this is exactly what I was looking for. Excellent value for the price, and free delivery. Arrived in perfect condition. It is HEAVY, so you may want to open the box and move the much lighter pieces into the area where you'll assemble the unit. Very simple to assemble, but measure the needed shelf spacing for your tubs and boxes before using a mallet to set the shelf arms in place. Super sturdy, and fits SO much. I wish they offered a 4ft-wide unit as well, so I could replace some older shelves in that size. I'm buying another today to continue my storage area cleanup.

Only a couple of minor issues with this shelving. The cross members on the top rail didn't quite line up. Will modify with a hammer. They are a tad bit short. Probably due slight warpage on the rail they fit into. One of the wire mesh shelves was bent a bit. Again, nothing a hammer can't fix. Went together very easy. I am 70 years old and had no problems other than the ones mentioned in this review. Took me 20 minutes to unbox and assemble. I recommend this shelving product!

These shelves are better than any that I have ever gotten at The Home Depot! In comparison, they are more rigid and are specified to support more weight. Of particular interest is the Home Depot shelving uses thin particle board horizontal shelf material which sags over time and is affected by humidity (even supporting mold growth). These Ironton shelves, on the other hand, use welded galvanized steel mesh. These shelves will last much longer in out-buildings with no climate control. I wanted a set that I could move around so I welded up "dollies" to go under the supports at both ends (see photos). These worked out great! Using large diameter rubber castors that I found on Amazon.com allows the shelves to be moved silently and smoothly with a single hand.
