I was very pleased with the Dukal Cotton Tipped Applicators 3". Pack of 200 Swabsticks Wood Shaft. 100% Cotton Tip, Sterile Swabs: .The Q-tip swabs are sterile and are made of real cotton. . The individually sterile wrapped pockets are very easy to open. . The product shipping box was wrapped very well when I received it, and I placed a double order with them today.

I love how these come sterile in packs of two each. I find it tedious to have to open each one individually- you always need more than one don't you? But for my purposes I really do need them sterile too. So these fit my needs perfectly and Ive bought several sets now.

I bought these to help with packing gauze in a 2.5” deep abdominal wound. I saw my doctor using something similar in the office and it seems to make the job easier than a standard q-tip. It gives you deeper range. These are good quality and I’m confident they are sterile as they’re packaged. However, they’re wrapped in two-packs of sterile packing and I only need one at a time which results in the other one being wasted. Once the package is opened, it’s no longer sterile unless you use it right away. So for that reason I didn’t give 5 stars. Would have given 5 stars if they were individually wrapped for using one at a time. Overall it is a great value for 100 sticks. I will just only get to use 50 of them. If you have a need to use 2 at a time, they’re perfect.

The RN that defined my method of rehab specified sterile cotton swabs. I looked at numerous swabs before I found the one that insured the whole swab was sterile. The packaging seemed to be right without a lot of over-kill or under-kill for that matter. I have just started using them and they worked great. I like to stick with things that took hours to research and tend to live up to what is promised on the product data. As long as the price, the promises, and the product hold true, I'll be a repeat customer when I need a refill. Thanks, DM

These were the only option I could find on Amazon for short sterile cotton swabs. I didn't need the longer 6" option as I just use them to apply ointment on wounds. Wish they were in packs of 1 (not 2) as I don't always need 2. But when I do need multiples, it's nice to open less packs. Not the easiest to open, but not the most difficult either. I'm on an immunosuppressant medication and have frequent slow healing wounds, with 2 skin infections in the last year. I realized I was using regular Q tips in a tub which had been sitting out and had likely been touched multiple times to get ointment from a tube onto a wound. Hoping that this switch to sterile ones helps.
