This stuff is amazing!! I have an old well and very hard water. I treated my well as directed, and the smell was gone!! The hard water let up a lot too!! I'm going to do it again this spring. You have to flush it with your water hose, so it cannot be done in the winter in a cold environment. Make sure you turn the water off to your hot water heater or it will ruin it. I read all the reviews and someone had mentioned that. It's pure chlorine, so wait to turn the water to your hot water heater back on after completing the flushing process. *make sure you read and follow the directions!!*

We bought this to shock our well and it was very easy to use with step by step instructions very clearly spelled out. It was a little pricey but it met our needs.

This worked so good for our well water. Our water smelled so bad but now it doesn’t anymore thanks to this wonderful product! It taste much better when brushing my teeth. My teeth feel clean now. My skin feels better and baths are more comfortable in cleaner water. I was about to go stay in a hotel because our water was so gross but thanks to this product I don’t have to now. My husband wouldn’t let me anyway. But I could if I wanted to. lol

Finally!! Something that took the smell out of our water! We tried so many things, I am so thankful we found this!! I would give it more stars if I could, it changed life for the better.

Bought this product for the first time. I had the ole rotten egg smell and such. Just follow the directions and you will be fine. My well was not marked for depth but i had the diameter. If you watch the video on this product, they tell you its better to have to much chlorine (Pellets) than not enough. I poured in the whole bottle in my well. When you mix up the powered chlorine in your bucket, mix it up real well. It takes a little to disolve. I bipassed my softner and filtration system, put everything down the well and let it sit all night. This morning i turned on my garden hose and let it run for 30 miuntes. i then went in and opened all my faucets till the chlorine smell and taste was gone. However, do not forget to drain your hot water tank. THere is a lot of chlorine and the hot water will remain brown tinged. Be sure to drain it and fill it back up. Right now my cold water is crystal clear and good tasting as well as the hot. Great product

Ugh, hard water is the worst! We've tried a bunch of different things to soften it up. We used twice the recommended amount for our well size just to be sure it worked. When flushing it out the water was rust colored and then clear. I was so excited to have fresh clean water. This seem to work for a little while, like maybe a month or so. Then, bam, the water's back to being gross smelling and hard again. So frustrating! I really expected more after reading the reviews and the cost. But unfortunately this product doesn't seem to have the longevity I was hoping for money spent.

I can't say enough positive things about this product. It is excellent. We had some work done on our well this past summer. It was drilled deeper and hydro-fractured. The work was successful in that the well now produces significantly more water. The well driller left me with a package of pellets(Not this product) and told me to drop them in, wait a day and then flush the well. Which is the basic version of disinfecting a well. We did this, then waited a week and sent the water for testing. It came back positive for coliform bacteria. Ugh. So, I tried again, this time with just liquid bleach. I did my homework and added the right amount, waited a day, and then flushed the well. Then waited a week and tested again. Still positive! After this second try is when I found this product. Before ordering the product I called the company, Better Water Industries. The gentleman on the phone was incredibly knowledgable and helpful. I had done a lot of homework by this time so had a ton of very specific questions. He patiently answered every question. They clearly known what they are doing. I bought the product and followed the instructions to the T. Waited a day, then flushed the well. Then waited another week and tested a third time. This time it came back negative for coliform! The magic of this product, at least for me, is that it disinfects in two different ways. One is with pellets that sink to the bottom of the well, and two with powder that you mix in to water before pouring in. This combo allows the disinfectant to work from the bottom up and top down in the body of water down in the well. Hopefully this helps. Super great product.
