Christopher's Original Formulas Complete Tissue & Bone Ointment, Herbal Topical for Muscle & Joint Support, 4 fl oz

The first time I got this, my tablet had fallen and landed corner down on my big toe and broke it. I was starting a new job within a week and it would require being on my feet constantly. So, I looked up comfrey ointments and decided on this one. The first few days of work were uncomfortable, but so long as I didn’t flex my foot, the pain was tolerable. Within a week of starting the ointment, I could move any way I needed to without pain. After that, it became my favorite ointment for all bumps, bruises and scratches, muscle and bone pains. It makes everything heal so much faster and cleaner. I still prefer vitamin E for burns, but when I’m out of that, I will apply this. I loaned that first jar to my father-in-law for bone spurs in his heels and he said it brought him relief. I actually never got the jar back because he liked it so much, so I bought another. I ended up giving away more jars over the years and buying myself another every time. I’ve had this fifth one for a couple years now. I did use some on my cousin’s hand and wrist. He has carpal tunnel, I think. He told me weeks later that it was the only thing that ever helped and took all the pain away. Had he said that at the time, I would have left the jar with him and gotten yet another. Haha Last year, my husband hurt himself at work. Painkillers did absolutely nothing for him, but the ointment did. It’s also fantastic on sore muscles, and even on some skin issues. All in all, it’s probably the most effective and useful product I have in my medicine cabinet.

It's a pain cream that helps me so much pain and cuts it down on those areas that I put it on. I use it daily. It does a very good job of giving me relief.

Look, I was already using a cream for Achilles tendinitis and thought it was good. I saw this one and decided to give it a try. It is so much better! I thought it had too many ingredients but it works so much better. Get it! You won’t be disappointed!

Buying our 2nd tub. I’ve recommended this to countless friends and baseball families that tell me they’re referring others as well. We have used Dr. Christopher’s on fractured elbows and knees. This is my go to for any joint pain. I prefer to start w/ DC before taking any OTC meds. My dad has had two knee and a shoulder replacements. He says it always takes the edge off! The salve has a mild smell. Not repulsive but a mild earthy smell. The ointment doesn’t have a cooling or heating effect. It is meant to stay refrigerated! The texture is solid at first. Almost like honeycomb. Once you scrape it up it will melt on contact with the skin and feels soothing and easy to massage. My only complaint would be that it stays tacky on the skin. If you’re doing yard work or anything around dirt/dust, it’s going to stick. Keep that in mind if you have exposed areas…you may want to keep it covered. I believe this ointment has sped up the healing of many sports related injuries and gives great peace of mind knowing we have it on hand. When I’m with my baseball family and someone is injured the moms always say, “well go home and rub Dr. Christopher’s on it!” 😃

34yr old male. I suffered an ACL sprain a year ago. It never quite healed the way I expected. Still had random inflammation where my knee would swell. Had trouble walking down stairs. That caused my other knee to over compensate so now I had two bad knee's. Tried glucosamine supplements, ibuprofen etc. Problem lingered for months. Couldn't jog or play basketball. Gained some weight which made things worse. Then one day my coworker told me about this miracle plant called the Comfrey root and how it could treat 'bone' ailments. Sounded too good to be true but I didn't have the time to plant and grow it etc. Found this ointment on Amazon. Saw the reviews and figured why not. All I can say is thank you! I literally saw improvement the first week of use and after a month my knees literally stopped swelling. Truly amazing. It also treats runners knees in case your knees make popping noises. Recommendation for those with serious knees injuries: After use don't walk on knees for 1 hr. Keep knees elevated. After 1st month of use perform squats and light walking for rehab. Then immediately afterwards apply ointment and again don't walk for at least 30mins. I then take a shower then apply more. Definitely apply at night while sleeping and also in the morning. Since some reviews mentioned a strange odor it appears the manufacture listened and it's safe to use in the day now. If you still don’t approve of the smell there is a liquid version by Dr Christopher that will work just as good. I find myself buying more even when I have plenty on hand. Never want to run out of this miracle ointment. Also remember to store in the refrigerator. Update: 3 years later everywhere I go I tell everyone about this miracle ointment. My knees are 100% healed. I can now squat with weights and run faster again. I have switched from this balm version of Dr Christopher’s Bone and Ointment and now use the liquid version more. But both products work just as good. Even though my knees are 100% healed I find myself still using this as a recovery/maintenance solution to keep my knees lubricated. I also put this on the bottom of my feet before I go on long jogs. It makes my feet feel like I’m walking on clouds. Don’t use these words often but this is a Game Changer!!!! Year 4: I literally use it before all my long distance runs. Apply it to hip areas, bottom of my feet and knees. I literally feel no pain during extraneous runs. People ask me about compression knees socks and knees products. Well this is my all natural version and it’s more cost effective. One day if I ever get to meet Dr Christopher drinks are clearly on me!! This man and team deserve an award or something for this product.

This stuff doesn't only relieve, it HEALS. I prefer a non-immediate sensation of relief (as in most of the heating ointments out there) and a deep healing rather than an ointment that only gives temporarily relief. It works also on muscles, though less than on joints and bones where it's really effective, even after one application, you see the big difference the day after really. Jar is a bit small but it's like a bee wax so a little goes a long way and it lasts long. Smell is not bad, not strong, like bee wax. Does stay on skin for a good 30-45mn before getting fully absorbed by the skin so no quick absorbing like other cream (it's deep healing after all). Will repurchase in a heartbeat

I really wanted to live this cuz I love all things dr Christopher’s but I just got this and wow was this bad.. first it has to be refrigerated so that’s kinda annoying because I’m never going to remember to use it.. but I was more than willing to give it a chance and deal with the fact that it has to be refrigerated! So I tried it on after my shower and omg it’s bad.. now please keep in mind/believe me when I say I’m the LEAST PICKIEST PERSON when it’s comes to weird natural products! Likes I’ve used Etsy handmade stuff and weird home remedies stuff.. like the benefits are always the most important thing for me not smell or texture, and I can put up with a lot! But this was sooo waxy and hard and thick I had to try and melt in my hand my rubbing it a looong time (like why too long) and then I put I on my affected “areas” and my face (I put it on my face because I noticed it has a lot of the similar ingredients to dr Christopher’s beauty balm one, and like I said before I’m not picky usually).. Anyway it goes one yellow and leaves a yellow tint on your skin.. it also doesn’t absorb AT ALL not matter how much I rub it in and eventually little grain of rice sized wax develop from trying to rub it in.. so I collect those and wash off my hands. Ok at this point I’m done and I go lay down and hope it absorbs eventually but Nope.. So eventually I went and tried to rinse some off because the smell and stickyness was making me insecure (my husband gets back from a long work trip today and I’m trying be right) and it barely even comes off with water and a towel.. wow Yeah also it smells pretty bad which I would of totally not even cared about it would of just been lighter/easier for my skin to absorb.. I also really don’t like that the 2nd ingredient was wheat germ oil because that’s thee most comedogenic oil there is! And again I don’t usually care like I use coconut oil on my face everyday and that’s comedogenic too but this stuff was wayyyy worse! So for all those reasons I don’t see myself being able to use this.. 3 stars because I fully believe anything dr Christopher’s makes WORKS but unfortunately I won’t be able to use this one.. I will however try the massage oil!! I have a feeling the oil with absorb better or at the very least it will be easier to apply and I won’t have to deal with wax grains developing! Maybe I got from a bad batch tho idk.. it did smell pretty bad/bitter but that could just be cause all the herbs..
