SMARTGUARD 4-Year Laptop Accidental Protection Plan ($2500-$3000)

Do not buy this Protection Plan. Their Customer Service had every excuse possible so they would not have to cover a minor repair.

This protection plan and company really helped me through the process of servicing my laptop. Manufacturer warranty was helpful, but did some damage to my laptop, however each time I contacted a Warrantech service tech, they were extremely helpful and more than happy to help me with my issues. The service was performed by a third party company, which updated me constantly throughout the repair process. All in all, they were kind and forthright with me about the issues, and in the end gave me all of my options for replacement of the unit. I would highly recommend this plan to anyone and everyone!

We'll see how well this is in the event something goes wrong with the laptop.

Tried to deny warranty all they want to do is pass you around from person to person and no one seems to know what the last person did or said. Finally got a supervisor that wanted to deny claim because I used the phrase that I assumed my son dropped in on accident and he said that if I did not know for sure they would not warranty it. So then I said well that is what he told me that it had been dropped I assume he is telling me the truth which he did not accept. Finally asked for another supervisor to talk to and he came back and accepted claim now I am on my second call after that and they are not sure where to send it as it is a computer they are not familiar with how can you sell a warranty on a computer and not have a clues where to send it??? Don't waste your money or your time with this company. I have literally been on the phone with them for over three hours from June 8th when I initially started the process and it is now June 16.

This Smart Guard last a year longer than my Apple Care, maybe Apple should take a page from your plan.
