I have bought some variation of this stethoscope for years.The burgundy color is a nice, classic touch. While it may not be as hyper-sensitive as the high-end electronic cardiology stethoscopes, it is perfectly fine and reliable for general clinical use. It’s also flexible enough that I can twist it into knots to stuff inside my pocket without it losing its shape. There are some issues to be aware of over the long term. First, the tubing that rests against the back of your neck will eventually react to skin oils. On my last one, the tubing became rigid and ultimately cracked after a few years of heavy use. Second, the plastic covers on the diaphragm/bell can be rather fragile. Additionally, the place where the chest piece attaches to tubing and the grooves around the where the plastic diaphragms snap onto the chest piece, tends to collect lint and grime. I find that taking an alcohol wipe and a pair of tweezers is the best way to get down into those crevices and get it fully clean. Overall, it's an excellent, reliable diagnostic tool, provided you keep up with the maintenance.

Sounds so much better than the cheaper ones that usually come with a bp cuff. Its loud enough I can easily hear with highway noise in the background. Definitely a worthy investment.

This was purchased as a gift for an aspiring nurse, about to enter the nursing program. All nurses should have a good quality stethoscope and Littmann has the best! I didn’t buy the top of the line (cardiology type) but this one with the double bell will meet all of her needs for a good portion of her career. I told her to affix a good label on it and not too lose track of it or some doctor will inadvertently walk off with it. She loved the classic black. Always in style!

Good product, but the value for the money isn’t quite there. It is overpriced to say the very least. You can find similar ones $30-$40 cheaper that have the very same features. I got this for my daughter for nursing school. She likes it. It works well, but for the money you’ll overpay.

Littmann is one of the leading brands for stethoscopes for a reason. The sound quality is noticeably better than cheaper stethoscopes I’ve used and it helps me hear more clearly during assessments. I chose the gray tubing because it looks professional, cleans easily, and doesn’t show wear as quickly as lighter colors. It feels lightweight enough for long days while still feeling durable and quality made. As advertised, the accessories are included in nice packaging. Definitely an investment piece for healthcare workers or students, but one that feels worth it.

This stethoscope is exactly as pictured, the pink is easy on the eyes (much prettier in person). It is well made, sound pickup works beautifully as a non-invasive monitoring device in an apiary as bees over-winter. Worth the money as, Littmann makes quality monitoring products. The only down side is, that it does not come with a carrying case. I would definitely purchase this item again in the future.
