Dakine Women's Eve Backpack, Ellie, 28L

This backpack is perfect! It's very rare that I find uses for the multitude of pockets in bags/backpacks, but the Dakine Hadley seems like it was made for me! The fleece-lined sunglasses pocket is just the right size for oversized sunnies (or regular glasses when I don't feel like wearing contacts). The adjustable straps in front are great for holding onto that sweatshirt I threw on for my 8am class and realized it was too hot to wear later on. The laptop compartment (and tablet compartment!) are great for when I need to bring my gadgets to school. The main compartment is roomy enough for my 1000 page book for my Masterpieces of Drama class. I use the "hidden" (not really) zippered pocket at the front as a catch-all for my essentials (wallet, chapstick, eye drops, keys). The bigger zippered pocket with the pen holders (!!!) are great for easy access--I also keep my planner here! Honestly, the Hadley is the BEST backpack I've used so far. Perfect balance of form and function! I got the color Nevada and it's just so cute. Bottom line: GET THIS! I've been using this for about a month now and I love it.

This is the second Dakine Jewel backpack I've had. I have ordered it since I will be attending university soon. Based on my experience with my last backpack, I gave it 4 stars because over time, the thick laptop compartment padding began to curve inwards towards the backpack, leaving an awkward gap on my back when I had the backpack on. Also, I got a tear at the bottom of my backpack after only a year, but I'm pretty sure that's my fault for having so many things inside my backpack. I decided to order it again because everything else about the backpack is perfect- the compartments, the space, the pockets, and the design. It still looks brand new and clean even after an entire year. However, my current second backpack came extremely quickly- only about 3 days after I ordered it from the seller on standard shipping. It is in excellent condition and I hope that awkward back-gap thing doesn't happen again. It's pretty close to being a perfect bag. I got it in the Claudette design since I liked it's gothic looks and dark color (dirt/stains won't show up easily). It's understated and not over the top, yet feminine. Even with a ton of stuff inside it, it still looks slim on the outside. Also, don't worry about your laptop not fitting. Even though it says it fits up to 14" laptops, my 15.6" laptop fits with plenty of space still left for even larger laptops (unless I have my case on it, though).However, the bag is taller than it is wide, so if that annoys you, I wouldn't recommend this bag. If you like to stack stuff like me or don't really care, you'll be fine. One more thing- the zippers are really loud! If anyone's looking for a school/university backpack, I'd definitely recommend this bag. It also seems like a good travel bag too, though I haven't tested it out for that. It's practical yet stylish without the pain and hassle that carrying a big purse will cause (seriously, girls, I do not recommend a purse as your everyday bag for college books and materials unless your load is extremely light,which I doubt for most full-time students)

Bought this backpack after my previous one began to hurt my back due to the large amount of textbooks I need to carry for school. I love how the laptop sleeve gives a little extra cushion to protect my computer. The second-to-the-front zipper pouch works great to put all my purse-related items in (tissues, lip balm, wallet, earphones, etc.) and holds a lot more than I thought it would. I absolutely love the insulated compartment, it is so helpful! I can fit a large salad lunchbox, a protein bar, and some snacks in it all at the same time with no problem. On one occasion, my lunchbox leaked salad dressing all over the pouch, but because of the great quality in this backpack, it never touched anything else in my backpack! Super easy to clean out with soap and some paper towels. Best of all, I am able to carry much more in this bag (multiple textbooks, notebooks, binders of various sizes, etc.) than I could in my previous one, without all of the back pain!

This bag is too heavy on its own. I'm returning it.

I was having a really hard time deciding which backpack that I wanted. The sizes were really confusing me because I didn't want a backpack that was too big or too small. I needed a fairly large backpack because I am in nursing school and books are heavy! This bag was perfect size and doesn't look too large on my 5'3 frame. The backpack is very comfortable and the laptop section is very roomy. Lastly the Ellie print is super cute but also professional. I really love this backpack. It's great quality and I feel like it will last me a very long time!

It's a heavy duty back pack however it's literally heavy. Not good for hiking or anything because of added weight.

It was raining yesterday. Thanks to this backpack my laptop, books, calculator and other things as wallet and earphones were dripping wet by the time I reached the bus stop (ten minutes walk). Never dakine again. The least I am expecting from a backpack is to be waterproof. Especially when it is advertised as a hiking backpack.

Best larger backpack ever! I love the two padded tech toy sleeves, the oversized sunglasses pocket, I can fit way more scratch sensitive stuff in there! The secondary front stash pocket was a surprise and I love it!! Straps carry water shoes and a rolled towel, side pockets are larger and deep enough for all the little stuff. Inside the second top zipper pocket, there is the pen organizer but also two more fleece lined sunglasses sized pockets?!?! Wow Dakine, great job!!!! Would say this bag is a must buy!

Der Rucksack ist etwas größer, als ich ihn mir vorgestellt hatte. Dadurch passen DinA4-Ordner aber ohne Probleme hinein. Toll sind die vielen Taschen, durch die sich alles sicher und geordnet verstauen lässt. Besonders die isolierte Vordertasche ist für das Pausenbrot oder gekühlte Getränke wirklich praktisch. Das Design das Rucksacks ist genau wie abgebildet, entspricht also meiner Erwartung. Der Rucksack ist durch seine Polsterung sehr angenehm zu tragen und sieht auf dem Rücken gut aus. Ich bin rundum zufrieden!

Le sac semble de bonne qualité. Il a plu à ma sœur (25 ans) offert pour noel. 28L est une bonne taille pour ceux qui cherche un sac urbain, pour aller au sport, sortir un week-end, se balader en ville ; ni trop grand ni trop petit. Les poches sont bien conçues, nombreuses, la couleur est sympas et conforme à la photo sur le site. Je conseille ce choix.

Très beau sac d'une bonne contenance maintenant à voir à l'usure. Reçu dans les temps comme toujours. Et je le recommande.

Der Dakine ist ein toller Rucksack mit viel Platz für Schulsachen oder auch den Laptop. Das schwarze Design ist zeitlos. Wir mussten ihn leider zurückgeben weil er für ein 12jähriges Kind zu wuchtig wirkte. Retoure klappt mit Prime tadellos

sehr stabiler Rucksack mit isofach, stiftefach, handyfach mit futter, schlüsselfach oben.... bin echt begeistert und würde ihn wieder kaufen! auch mappen/ ordner haben problemlos platz!
