W85031 | High Back Pneumatic Shop Stool

Shipping was fast and the Swivel Bar Stool was easley assembled with no tools needed in about 2 minutes. The box it comes in is pretty heavy duty so it was in perfect shape when it arrived. I bought this specifically for a 40 inch tall table I use as a guitar work bench. So now I can either stand or sit at my work table. When the stool is lowered all the way its perfect for me to play guitar with my feet on the foot rest. I'm 5'8". Of course it adjusts higher for you lucky tall people..but shorter people might not fit comfortably. Speaking of the foot rest.. I like the fact that it's square and not a circle. It's just easier to adjust your feet or swivel the seat. The pneumatic ram seems solid and works smoothly, as does the lever that controls it. In my opinion you can't go wrong if your looking for an adjustable stool (26 inches up to 32 inches) I actually just put a tape measure on it for you. Comfort? well it's a stool not a lazy boy. All in all a solid 5 stars from me.

Easy to assemble and comfortable to use. Pneumatic lift and lower of height sketchy. goes up ok but down not so much. But all in, a decent seat. Seat not lowering was my inability. Works fine and goes up and down just fine! Add a star. 5 stars!

Got this for a lot of work bench type tasks, but definitely wanted a stool best suited for playing guitar. Looked at all the seat/back/footrest-adjustable drafting type chairs in the up-to-$150 range, and pulled the trigger on this one. Why? 1) a round seat (this one at 16 inches) offers less restriction in positioning your legs any way you want off the edge compared to a larger square seat. 2) the solid, steel tube four-leg construction makes it easier to carry, maneuver around, and get the seat stable (like on uneven outdoor surfaces) than the typical five-footed rotating spider leg mechanism on most office-style chairs. 3) the squared-off foot rail, solidly attached to all four legs (all 1 inch steel tubing), not only feels good and steady, but allows you to much better position your feet on the chair in various ways that a clumsier foot ring just can't. 4) no cheesy chrome, just matte black, simple and rugged. The 4 1/2 inch back (or should I say butt) rest provides at least a secure feeling that you're not sliding off the back of the stool, and while it would have been nicer if it extended twice as high up the back, it is pretty much unnecessary if you're really playing guitar or doing something at a work table. It's definitely not for sitting back and propping your feet up. And in spite of some contradictory information here, when you're planted in the seat, you are a bit under 24 inches off the floor at the lowest setting. The hydraulic mechanism also feels very sure and sturdy. And it assembles with no tools in about 20 seconds. Nuff said.

This chair was incredibly easy to assemble and I don't feel it's off-centered as others have described. The back is not as high as I hoped and angled strange so it's not much support at all honestly. I've owned the stool for a month and while it's still sturdy and spins smoothly, the stitching at the seam where the seat meets the back is already separating. The faux leather is very thin and is flaking off on the back in an area where its rubbed against my wall a few times as well. I feel like it's a over-priced for how long it's going to last. EDIT: After having the stool for 2 months, it has already broken and the seat no longer stays on straight. Part of it is plastic that attaches the seat to the center pole and it has cracked rendering unable to stay on straight. What a waste of money!

i was surprised at how easy this was to assemble. Absolutely the easiest piece of furniture to assemble that I've ever purchased. Just 3 parts, and they simply just fit together and are extremely sturdy. No tools required. This is a very comfortable seat with the right amount of cushioning for the tush and the lower back. Just enough support for the lower back. Seat adjusts and the foot rails are perfect. My only complaint, and it's not really a complaint, is that my feet don't reach the ground when sitting at the lowest setting (I'm 5' 51/2"), but the foot railings are perfect. I can adjust the height for when I'm playing casually or recording a video to match the height of the recorder or the level needed for the mic. Very happy I purchased, and I would definitely recommend.

This chair seems heavy duty. The base is heavy enough. It swivels and fit at a countertop nicely. The back support was not attached very well and not supportive. After several months, I ended up replacing the seat as it was not well made. The platform swivel base has deformed with use and the seat is now tilted. Not good for heavier people.

For the price it's very good, but I had to cut a few inches off each leg as it was too tall at its lowest setting.

The padding is not thick at all 99% of it hard plastic with a thin layer of padding on top kinda false advertising and uncomfortable even sitting on it for not even a hour,not happy with purchase

This stool is heavy duty and seems to be well built. I have a major back\spine issue and have been having a very hard time to find a stool to use at work that is comfortable enough and doesn't cause me any extra pain. i use this stool at work for when I'm working on areas that require crouching for long periods and this stool so far is very comfortable so far. I most likely will be buying this one again. Thanks so much.
